Finding the stoplight circuit in a 2012 Volkswagen Touareg is unlike other vehicles out there. You actually have to get a VW harness #1J0-972-782 and 2 wire/terminal assemblies #000-979-228 so that you can create the stoplight circuit source. If you check out the attached help article link I attached you can see the entire process outlined. view full answer...

The # CSS-1094R Coil SumoSprings helper spring would indeed help reduce some of the minor sag caused by the tongue weight of a trailer being applied to the rear suspension of your Touareg. The product mounts in between the coils of your existing rear springs to provide additional support and dampening. They will also help reduce body roll experienced in turns. This is the only helper spring option we offer for your 2015 VW Touareg.
I'll link to a video that explains more about the Coil... view full answer...
The Replacement Strap for SportRack Escape Hitch Mounted Bike Racks # 05002200000 is sold as a single strap; to get a pair you would need to order two of them.
The reason for this is that some people only need one strap and would be getting one strap they don't need. A single strap allows people to only get the strap (or straps) they need. view full answer...
The remote should not have to be paired each time you hook up to your trailer. It might have the occasional disconnect where it needs to be re-paired, but typically you should not have to pair the remote each time.
I have attached the installation details and an installation video for you. The installation video goes over how to pair your remote at the 1:35 min mark. view full answer...
I recommend to use Bolt-On Stainless Steel Spring Latch pins part # SL716SS that can be bolted to the utility trailer to keep the gate closed. At this time we do not carry the clip/pin with chain for the gates on your Snowbear utility trailer. I have attached a photo of an example. view full answer...
The kit on the Yakima Flushbar kit, part # Y00456-0457 and part # Y00158 do include the feet to connect to your flush rails. This is actually the fit kit, part # Y00158's entire job. The fit kit will clip into the bottom of the towers on the end of the crossbar and help adjust the bars to fit your roof correctly.
I never recommend opening the sunroof on any vehicle with roof bars installed. Primarily, there's risk of contacting the bars with the glass of the sunroof when it opens, causing... view full answer...
From the pictures I have of your 2012 Trails West 2 trailer, it is a dual axle trailer. If this is the case, each wheel maximum weight capacity has to be a minimum of 1,625 if the gross vehicle weight rating is at 6,500 pounds. This is because each wheel capacity contributes to the overall weight capacity of the trailer. It is important to note that the tires should be rated for the actual gross towing weight capacity of the trailer and not the empty weight of the trailer. The gross towing... view full answer...

The Prodigy P3 part # 90195 that you have can be installed in your 2016 Volkswagen Touareg but there isn't a simple under dash adapter like what is available for Ford trucks.
If you check out the attached link you will see exactly what is required to install a controller in your vehicle. It's a bit more in-depth but there is a way to do it. view full answer...
In order to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR you will need additional wiring from an authorized dealer. Luckily we already know the parts you will need. The #1J0-972-782 housing (one of these) and #000-979-228 wire/terminal assemblies (two of these) are what you require.
This will allow you to assemble a brake control harness. This harness will allow you to plug your brake controller into the factory brake control connector.

Yes, you can use the Thule K-Summit XXL Tire Chains, part # TH02230K66, on your 2012 Volkswagen Touareg. I have attached a demonstration video for you to check out.
Before purchasing tire chains for your 2012 VW Touareg you should consult your vehicle owners manual or the dealer to determine if VW recommends the use of tire chains on this vehicle and if so what chain clearance is required so you do not purchase chains that you cannot use or would damage the vehicle.

The cold side wire of the stop light switch that only has power when the brake pedal is pressed has a full 12 volts.
Using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 will help you find the correct wire to connect your controller to.

I recommend the Tekonsha P2, # 90885. It is one of our highest rated and most popular brake controller models. If your Touareg has a factory tow package, then you will just need to connect the wires from the brake controller to the tow package wires under the dash.
The tow package wiring may be located behind the lower appearance panel beneath the dash and to the right of the emergency brake pedal. It may be on the left, wrapped in grey foam. I have included a link to an FAQ article that... view full answer...

It sounds like you do not have the factory installed 7-way on your 2012 Volkwagen Touareg. To install a brake controller like the Tekonsha P3 # 90195 you will need a 4-way wiring harness installed and then to gain the proper brake controller functions you will need to adapt the 4-way to a 7-way.
The 4-way I recommend for your Touareg is # 118668. We do have an installation video of this being installed on your same vehicle. To adapt this to a 7-way, I recommend the # ETBC7, this kit... view full answer...
To see if the Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier, part # C18145, will mount to your Volkswagen Tiguan with 1-1/4 Hitch, you will need to take a measurement. You will need to measure from the center of the hitch pin out past the rear of the bumper. If this measurement is less than 6 inches, the Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier, part # C18145, will work on your Volkswagen Tiguan.
If you find that you need more clearance than 6 inches, I would recommend the Tow Ready Hitch Cargo Carrier, part # 63155, which... view full answer...
