Exhaust components can be pretty stubborn, but you have done everything correct so far. Once you loosen the straps and remove the exhaust hangers the pipes should be able to pivot down. I'd try letting the WD40 sit for a while and try again. Eventually the hanger should break free and allow the pipe to pivot. Also make sure you have the strap as loose as possible as even some tension can prevent the pieces from pivoting.

The Demco Hydraulic Trailer Brake Actuator # DM72VR that you referenced has a master cylinder fitting that has a female threaded portion which is pretty standard on trailer actuators. Typically brake line fittings spin on the line so that they can thread into the cylinder but then once torqued down they seal.
