  • Recommendation for Carrying Two Motorcycles with a 2010 Ford Mustang
  • In order to carry the 2 motorcycles with a 2010 Ford Mustang, the best option would be to use a trailer. The Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer, # Y08106, is a roof rack on wheels and would not work for your application. First, if you do not already have a trailer hitch for the Mustang, I recommend the Curt Hitch, # C11048. It will fit all models, including the GT, but not a GT/CS, Shelby GT, or GT500. This hitch comes with the recommended ball mount which should be used in the rise position...

  • Bike Rack Options for a 2005 Ford Mustang with Factory Spoiler
  • You can go in either of two directions for a bike rack on your 2005 Ford Mustang with factory spoiler. One option is to install a Class I hitch that will allow you to transport 2 bikes on a hitch-mount bike rack; the other option is to use a trunk-mount rack that will be compatible with your factory spoiler. A hitch and hitch rack may cost more than some trunk-mount racks but will offer the advantages of not placing any burden on the Mustang's sheet metal and also allowing you to use other...

  • How to Carry a Kayak on the Roof of a 2004 Ford Mustang
  • The best option to carry a kayak on your 2004 Ford Mustang is to use a foam block set up, # RL100K10. That way you will not have to install a roof rack. The only issue with this type of system is that the straps have to run through the interior of the vehicle. This can limit head room and sometimes the straps can act like a wick and let water into the vehicle. Otherwise it is an inexpensive option.

  • Troubleshooting Difficult to Lower Exhaust of 2012 Ford Mustang for Hitch Install
  • Exhaust components can be pretty stubborn, but you have done everything correct so far. Once you loosen the straps and remove the exhaust hangers the pipes should be able to pivot down. I'd try letting the WD40 sit for a while and try again. Eventually the hanger should break free and allow the pipe to pivot. Also make sure you have the strap as loose as possible as even some tension can prevent the pieces from pivoting. I attached an install video that shows how this is done near the...

  • Could Demco Actuator Replace Actuator on Demco Kar Kaddy
  • The Demco Hydraulic Trailer Brake Actuator # DM72VR that you referenced has a master cylinder fitting that has a female threaded portion which is pretty standard on trailer actuators. Typically brake line fittings spin on the line so that they can thread into the cylinder but then once torqued down they seal. Based on your picture this would be an easy replacement for what you have.

  • Solution for Trailer Hitch Receiver for 1972 Ford Mustang and Gran Torino
  • I do have a solution, but we do not carry any bolt-on hitches for a 1972 Ford Mustang or Gran Torino. Realistically, you aren't going to find that anywhere. The best solution would be to have one made for each of your cars. I recommend taking the # E17 to a local fabricator and have them fashion a hitch that will fit.

  • The only base plates I show listed for a 1998 Mustang are the Roadmaster XL Base Plates, # 466-1, that you have referenced. These base plates will not fit an SVT or Cobra model. Since you have a Blue Ox Rangefinder II tow bar, you would need an adapter to go from Roadmaster Base Plates to the Blue Ox tow bar. This trailer hitch comes with the required ball mount and you can use ball # 19256 (1-7/8 inch diameter) or # 19258 (2 inch diameter). If you plan on ever using the hitch for a non-trailer load like with a bike rack or cargo carrier, Curts warranty requirements state that for their class I and II hitches, you must use a stabilizing strap like # 18050. For trailer wiring, you will need to use the Tow Ready...
