  • Why Is Stage 4 of CTEK Battery Charger Slower than Other Stages
  • Stage 4 of CTEK chargers is the absorption phase, this is a slow process on purpose so that the battery gets a diminished charge to top the battery off in the best way possible. This phase helps the battery hold the charge that it has by not overcharging. It sounds like yours is most likely operating like normal so maybe give it a day or so and see if charging progresses beyond stage 4. I have a couple CTEK chargers and have noticed the same thing. But once the charge is complete I noticed...

  • Install Picture of the Curt C13136
  • The Curt hitch part # C13136 that you referenced once installed on your 2015 Porsche Macan will look very similar to the picture I attached that shows it installed on an Infiniti Q5. • I am including a link to a technical bulletin from Tekonsha that shows how to install a brake controller on your 2009 Porsche Cayenne. It says 2005 to 2008 Porsche Cayenne on the technical bulletin, but I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha and he said the technical bulletin is good up to 2011 models. The technical bulletin will show you where the connector is located under the dash. You will need to purchase the connector housing and the wire/terminal assembly from the Porsche dealer to...

  • Trimming Required to Install Hitch on a 2010 Porsche Cayenne
  • The Curt Hitch part # 13220 that you referenced has been confirmed to fit you 2010 Porsche Cayenne and does require fascia trimming. Basically the lower fascia will have to have an opening cut into it so that the hitch can stick through it like in the picture I attached. The picture is of an Audi Q7, but the trimming is basically the same.

  • Troubleshooting Tekonsha ZCI Item # 119250KIT Installation On 2016 Porsche Cayenne
  • I contacted the tech support of the manufacturer for some ideas and your are on the right track. Your 2016 Porsche Cayenne has dedicated wires for each function and also has wires that are multi-function. To get everything to work correctly with the Tekonsha ZCI Vehicle Wiring Harness, Item # 119250KIT, you will need to find dedicated wires for each function (tail, brake, turn, etc.). Unfortunately, there are no "shortcuts" and you will have to continue the "trial and error" testing...

  • Preferred Way to Route Power Wire for Trailer Light Harness on 2013 Porsche Cayenne
  • We haven't had the opportunity to install the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT on a 2013 Porsche Cayenne as of yet (August 2023), but I do have an install video on a 2017 Cayenne to help you. Basically, what you want to do is route the wire underneath your vehicle and avoid any moving parts or places where it will get really hot. It's a good rule of thumb to follow the brake lines because these are already routed in this manner. You can run it through the cabin...

  • Locking the Swagman # S64400 Bike Rack to 2013 Porsche Cayenne.
  • The Swagman Original # S64400 should fit your Cayenne, as long as it's equipped with a 2 inch hitch. To be absolutely sure, measure the distance between the hitch pin hole and the furthest rearward portion of the back bumper, as outlined in the article I've linked to. If your measurement is less than 14-1/2 inches, the rack will work just fine. The rack includes an anti rattle hitch bolt, but the # 5200 lock and the # e98891 cable lock are sold separately. The Swagman # S64400 is a decent...

  • Is a Relay Still Required to Install a P2 or P3 Brake Controller on a 2005 Porsche Cayenne
  • All of the P2, # 90885 and P3, # 90195, brake controllers that we have now and the ones we will get in the future are all the newer versions so you wouldn't have to worry about that for your Porsche Cayenne. Some additional wiring will be required, see tech bulletin to the right. On the off chance that you do get an erratic display the linked tech bulletin also covers that.

There will also be some minor fascia trimming, as you can see by the accompanying cut out of the installation instructions I added for you. • How Does Repair Kit for Titan Couplers Install
  • For the tubular and semi-tubular rivets like what comes with this kit you would need a rivet clincher tool available at hardware stores and some auto parts stores could have a selection as well. It will be a matter of putting the spring on the shaft pushing the shaft up from the underside of the coupler and then riveting the shaft to the latch with the included rivet. The hole in the shaft of the pin is for attaching it to the latch.

  • What Is The Advantage To Installing Bearing Buddies?
  • Bearing Buddies give you a similar option to your EZ Lube axles, but they take it one step further to provide a better seal to keep water out. They move the grease hub out further to better protect your hub and bearings and then add the rubber cap that goes over the assembly so you can have the hubs completely submerged without any issues. This partially accomplished by maintaining a slight controls pressure of 3 psi with spring-loaded piston that prevents water from entering hub. Unfortunately,...

  • How to Install Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller in 2013 Porshe Cayenne Diesel
  • The tech bulletin you mention, which I have linked for reference, pertains to Prodigy installation in the 2005 - 2008 model years of the Porsche Cayenne and the Volkswagen Touareg, and according to my contact at Tekonsha this procedure still applies in the case of your 2013 Cayenne diesel. You will need to locally source a 12V normally open relay and make the wiring connections as described in the article. You will NOT connect the red wire from the P2 to the connector, but instead will...

  • Can Power Wire for 2016 Porsche Cayenne Trailer Wiring Harness be Attached to 12 Volt Outlet
  • We get this question a lot so I know where you're coming from. But trailer wiring harness manufacturers design the powered converters such as # 119250KIT so that they draw 12-volt power directly from the vehicle battery for a very good reason. Doing so keeps the vehicle wiring fully isolated from the wiring of the trailer. Short circuits in trailer wiring are very common, keeping the trailer wiring isolated from the vehicle will help prevent the wiring in your 2016 Porsche Cayenne from...

  • How To Check If the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Has Paired Correctly
  • In regards to the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part 90250, the remote should indeed read "n.c" after you have set the power knob to greater than minimum. If you reconnect the trailer and the remote then shows ".c." that is a good sign the device is paired properly but in order to check you just need to apply the manual override and see if you get a readout. I will say that pairing can be difficult on certain vehicles, especially German vehicles like your Porsche...
