How To Check If the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Has Paired Correctly

I had trouble pairing the Prodigy RF. After going through all the steps, the readout on the remote unit never was 0.0 and continued to read P.A. But after I dialed up the power knob to greater than minimum, the unit read flashing n.c. Does that mean I’m actually paired?

In regards to the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part 90250, the remote should indeed read "n.c" after you have set the power knob to greater than minimum. If you reconnect the trailer and the remote then shows ".c." that is a good sign the device is paired properly but in order to check you just need to apply the manual override and see if you get a readout.

I will say that pairing can be difficult on certain vehicles, especially German vehicles like your Porsche Macan due to the limited power supply at the trailer connector for the 12 volt circuit. That said, this is easy to fix and all you will need is the Trailer Connector Adapter part # 20142.
