But trailer wiring harness manufacturers design the powered converters such as # 119250KIT so that they draw 12-volt power directly from the vehicle battery for a very good reason. What we have found is that sometimes when installing the Prodigy P3 # 90195 on a 2005-Current Porsche Cayenne there are times when the display of the P3 may become erratic. We recommend installing a 12V normally open relay to fix this issue. You don't necessarily have to install the relay, but it will help to prevent the screen on your P3 from doing goofy things.
