I can see how this might be a confusing choice of words. I've seen instances where people have used both a weight distribution hitch with sway control AND the Curt True Course in order to create a "super" sway control system to keep their trailer in line behind their tow vehicle. There are no differences between the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit part # DM9519291 and etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit part # e98950, this is just who we use for our braded base plates. I recommend whichever is more cost effective at the time. They are both directly compatible with most Blue Ox, etrailer, Demco, and Curt tow bars.

For your 2001 Jeep Wrangler with U-channel bumper, I would go with # 1420-1 base plate kit, because it features removable arms. Being able to remove the base plate arms maintains the look of your Wrangler when you are not flat towing and by removing the additional arm length, it helps prevent many a shin injury.

You are correct, part # 9883544 and # 13432 are the exact same hitch. Curt gave us a special price on a large supply of that hitch, so we're selling those as part # 9883544. Even though the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR and the Roadmaster Even Brake # RM-9400 are very similar systems I recommend using the Patriot II. It is easier to set up, uses less power so it will take much longer for this system to drain your battery, and it doesn't require the use of additional parts so that it is compatible with your vehicle. A difference in length of your hitch, or ball mount will effect the clearance from the trailer to the rear of your Jeep Liberty. What you would want to do is measure the clearance needed on your Jeep Liberty. To measure the clearance needed, you will want to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole out 8-1/4 Inches. A local Jeep dealership can run your Liberty's VIN through their computer to tell you if it was equipped with a factory tow package, but you can also just check under the rear bumper to see if there is a wiring connector that looks similar to the one shown in the linked photo.
