Yes, you can bypass the factory brake controller on your 2007 GMC Sierra new body style. You will need to add enough 10 gauge blue wire, # 10-1-1, to reach from the cab of the truck to the 7-Way at the rear of the truck. It is sold in 1 foot increments so a quantity of 1 would be 1 foot. I would recommend at least 20 feet.

I spoke with my contact at Putco regarding the Punch Grille Insert, part # P84194, which you reference, and he said after removing the factory plastic hood that covers the area between grille and radiator like you have done, you will place the insert over the grille. Then place a bolt through the pre-cut mounting holes and place the mounting bracket on the back so it attaches to the grille and tighten with allen wrench. Then reinstall the hood cover and you will be good to go.

The spring bars used on weight distribution systems like the Reese # RP66560 Steadi Flex are rated for a certain range of trailer tongue weights. The bars included with the # RP66560 are rated between 600-1200 lbs and would work perfectly for any tongue weight within that range. Adjustment isn't possible or necessary.

It sounds like you are on the right track. Your 2012 GMC Sierra does not have an OEM plug for installing a brake controller, but they did run the wires for you. In regards to the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller part # # RED24FR, the unit should not be illuminated while driving without a trailer. If you press the button while a trailer is not attached you should see a breathing blue light and that simply indicates the controller is in sleep mode. The exterior framing piece is not something I believe is going to be an issue for the install. The brackets should go inside and under that framing piece, and it doesn't look as if it extrudes outward so that it will interfere, so I don't foresee any issue at all.

The FuseMaster Bypass Switches # RM-76517 and # RM76511 can be used to help make prepping your 2019 GMC Acadia for flat towing easier, but when it comes to the standard procedures for setting up your Acadia put in place by the manufacturer there isn't really a way to get by that and make it any easier.
