I spoke with our contact at Tekonsha and he informed that the technical bulletin you are referring to is still valid. To install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 into your 2012 Audi Q7, you will need to obtain a 12 volt normally open relay at a local Audi dealer.

Trailer wiring harness # 119250KIT doesn't have vehicle specific installation instructions so you have to test the vehicle wiring using the included circuit tester to make sure you are connecting its wires to the proper vehicle wire.
Since your 2016 Audi Q5s has a multiplex wiring system it can take some trial and error to test and find the right wires, but it does not require splicing to attach.

Great news this is easy to determine! When installing the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 119250KIT the arrows should be pointed to the light. So in this case the arrows should be pointing upwards on the harness because that is where the light signals are traveling up to the lights.

For trailer mounting winches like the # SW1595200 that you referenced you will want to mount it directly to the trailer frame with bolts that go through the mounting plate provided on the winch.
You would not be able to mount a winch to a wood bed if you are going to put any kind of load on it. You would need to get the winch mounted to the steel frame somehow. I spoke with my contact at SMI and he advised not to install the Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251, which you referenced, under the seat but to install it on the toe kick per the installation instructions. He said it will not work if placed under the seat because the unit needs to be mounted level as it is working off inertia.
