The rear fascia does not need to be trimmed for installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch # 11195 on the 2011 Audi A4 Avant.
You will need to trim the heat shield underneath the vehicle for access into the frame. This is not an extensive cut and will not be seen when the hitch is installed.

However, the fit around the lower part of the bumper fascia where it meets the frame brackets for the hitch can be tight and in some cases touching.
