Specs:

  • Load-leveling capacity: up to 5,000 lbs
    • LoadLifter 5000 springs will not increase your vehicle's weight-carrying capacity. Do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit.
  • Adjustable air pressure: 5 psi - 100 psi
  • Lifetime warranty
  • 60-Day satisfaction guarantee

Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 was designed with an exact purpose: to provide full-time, first-class support to your 3/4- or 1-ton pickup, motor home, or commercial truck. With this kit, you get a safer ride and simultaneously protect your vehicle from the strain that comes with hauling massive loads.

Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts tremendous stress on your vehicle. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even improper and unsafe headlight aim. Fortunately, there is a solution to these problems. By pairing your existing suspension with the LoadLifter 5000, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and give your vehicle the support it desperately needs. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 provides up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and distributes the weight of your payload to all four wheels. As a result, the stress on your OEM suspension is significantly reduced.

LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated independently of one another for front-to-rear and side-to-side leveling. They are made of high-quality, two-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends, where the bag is enclosed with a steel cap, because the steel can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. The endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air. Also, LoadLifter 5000 comes with Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which both protect your air springs and beef up the load capacity of the springs.

This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump air in through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the valves (one for each spring) in an easily accessible area - typically they are installed on the bumper. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately).

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Along with a lifetime warranty that has no mileage restrictions, Air Lift offers a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Just install and use LoadLifter 5000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund. Now that's confidence.

The air bags fit nicely and work as expected. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the directions… written and the video. You definitely need to have some logic and mechanical skills but it all works. Trying this without a lift (rack) is not a good idea.
Madison, my customer service rep was exceptional and got the product to me early. I would definitely use this company again.

The airbags work great and they were relatively easy to install. Very happy with them so far!

2015 Ford F-350 Super Duty

The product arrive in a timely matter as with everything that I have purchased from e-trailer , the only problem I had was there were some lock nuts missing from the package , 2 pouches were opened when I opened the box , [ this was from the factory not e-trailer fought ] the photo's in the installation booklet could have been a little clearer , my truck has sway bars and none of the photo's showed them that I could see and the installation book didn't talk about them , Had to figure it out on my own . Other than that no problems , took about 4 hours to install , a 4 point drive on lift would be a great help , also remove the spare tire , it helps

All & All working as expected. Install was straight forward but removing bump stops was a little challenging for they were rusted bad. My f250 rides level & smoother now when towing 11,000 lb. 5th wheel trailer.

2011 FordF-250 Super Duty

Previously installed Firestone air helper springs in my Ford F250. Wish I would have ordered them instead of the Air Lift helper springs. While quality of Air Lift appears to be good, installation compared to installing the Firestone system is a real bear. Firestone easily as good quality and much simpler/easier to install.

I purchased the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle for my 2015 Ford F-250 to pull at travel trailer. (Aprox. 6,000 lbs.) Installation was easy, took a couple hours. I coupled the air line hose through the license plate so I only had one air valve to install. I wasn't too worried about balancing left to right. I just needed to get my truck's ass off the ground when towing the trailer. No sag when the bags are aired up.
I keep them deflated to the minimum until I need the lift. Then an easy pump up with a bike pump and I'm off.

2012 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Fast shipping and excellent customer service. Will continue to purchase from etrailer. Took about 8 hrs to install the kit. I'm sure that would have been faster for someone who has done it before but I took my time. The air bags work just as I wanted and the kit appears to be high quality materials. If you purchase a kit take your time installing as it's best to fit and refit a couple times on parts of the kit to ensure everything is going as laid out by the instructions.

by:

Fit as advertised. I have 600 miles on them so far across the west with no issues yet

Works great! Now that i have onboard air, i use it alllll the time.

Thanks, Happy 4th!!!

Air Lift air springs are good and dependable, use them for the last 25 years on three pick-ups always worked great. My complaint would be against the lousy packaging which came with two or three holes and all messed up, luckily all that was missing was one washer.

The correct Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs for a 2014 Ford F-250 is part # AL57396. This kit is a bolt on fit and designed specifically for this truck. It will work well with any in-bed hitches as well.

  • Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2012 Ford F-350 with Reese Underbed 5th Wheel Kit
The brackets that attach to the frame on the Reese installation kit # RP30126 attach to the outside of the frame rails on the truck. Any suspension kit that installs on the outside of the frame rails as well cannot be used. On Air Lift kit, # AL57396, if you look at the instructions I have linked, you will see that the brackets install on the inside of the frame rails. However, you must look closely at the instructions and compare them to the brackets on your truck to determine if there...

  • Suspension Enhancement For A 2013 Ford F-250
The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle Item # AL57396 would be enough for your 2013 F-250 pulling a 12000lb trailer. These bags have 100 psi max pressure rating and honestly with all of the installs I have done here with air bags. I very rarely have needed to put in more than 45 psi with the weigh of the trailer on the truck. I will say though, with installing these, I have had customers come back to get an air compressor installed shortly after they had their bags...

All of the air spring kits for the 2011 Ford F-250 mount to the sides of the truck frame rails. The issue is that the B&W gooseneck hitch brackets also install in the same location but on the outsides of the frame rails.
