Whether you're hauling heavy loads in your bed or cargo area or you're towing a trailer, you will often see the rear of your vehicle sag while the front end rises. In these cases, the rear axle is handling not only the weight of the cargo, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Because less weight is on the front axle, the front tires are making less contact with the road. Overall handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.

The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above the rear axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down to where the bottom of the spring sits, 1" above the axle. The inch of clearance allows the existing factory suspension to operate normally under light loads and standard terrain, ensuring the smooth, comfortable ride that you are used to.

Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.


Timbren suspension system works to prevent body roll

Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's side or passenger's side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you are hauling off-center loads.

Because the vehicle handles better with the springs, less turbulence will be passed along to the trailer, and this helps to keep the trailer in line. Your driving comfort is further enhanced if the trailer does begin to sway (from a gust of wind or a passing semi), because the movement from the trailer is not transferred to your vehicle. This also works to make the sway subside more quickly.

Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.

I was towing my 32 ft travel trailer using standard WdH and sway bar with my f150 and before installing Timbrens, my truck was all over the place forcing me to grip the wheel (white knuckle) and stress out. After installing Timbrens, the rear of the truck feels planted while towing and I can literally tow now with one finger where before, I would have to give my steering wheel the death grip. Added bonus is that I can carry heavier loads in my bed if needed without squat. I can also pull my 32ft Trailer to the dump at State parks without WdH (saves bit of time) while driving slowly. I love the daily drivability and Ecoboost power of my f150 and now it's a towing machine! I'm a happy Timbren customer, as I didn't want to trade for a 250 and now I don't have to.

haven't used my truck to pull our camper yet ... but soon, weather permitting.
The directions for installing this item on are terrible ... I had to make 3 calls to customer service on how to install and place the tabbed mounting bracket to the frame of my truck ... no one I talked to really knew. I see the picture as they are different, but wanted to be sure if I had done my install correctly.
I recommend the video on U-Tube ... it has good information and the video will walk you thru the install. Please update the video on this product and include specifically how to assemble and place the brackets to the frame of your vehicle.

One year of ownership and I am still just as happy as day one. The best compliment I can give for this product is that I notice no difference without the trailer being hooked up - other companies suspension add on's would still be active making for a harsh ride or a lighter wallet if you want better ride quality. But the Timbren bumpers are not effecting my suspension when empty and have been a VERY cost effective solution for my needs - thanks etrailer for the great customer service with all the products recommended by your thoughtful staff.
Once my trailer is hooked up to my Gen-y hitch there is very little sag and a good portion of the suspension travel is left to absorb any bumps and potholes the Gen-y doesn't take care of. 10 thumbs up

After reading all the great reviews about how great this company is and how this product will level my truck with a heavy load, I ordered. I installed the product and the ride was an unbearably jarring. I emailed customer service with my concerns and let them know that I thought it would be fair to contact them prior to writing a review to try to come up with a solution. Wayne called me back and as we discussed the issues, it came down to him identifying four things that I consider non-solutions. 1. I cannot return the product. 2. He let me know that if I had more weight in my truck the ride would probably be better. 3. I could sell them on Craigslist. 4. I could add a set of air-bags.
Airbags? These were suppose to be better than airbags. What a waste of money.

This system worked out really well on my 2013 F150 XLT Crew Cab v8. I needed to remove the top rubber spacer, but afterwards, I have plenty of suspension travel for normal driving and good suspension control when towing. This reduced the "dolphining" I experienced while towing. Highly recommend this system for towing heavy loads. Also, recommend the Superchips programmer (towing tune) to round out your towing package.

Ordered Sunday, received Friday. Love the service of etrailer and will continue to use them. Put the timbrens on my heavy 1/2T F150 and they went on like a charm. Used the spacer and got 1" of clearance, well within the requirements. This should take the sag out of towing my fifth wheel trailer.

I installed these on a 2014 F150 to cure the sag when attaching my 14' cargo trailer. They installed easily and after using them for a year I can say they've leveled things right out. I also can't detect any noticeable degrading of the ride when not towing. I'm very pleased.

I purchased the Timbren rear kit for my 2010 F150. I occasionally haul two motorcycles and wanted to get rid of the sag. The install could not be any easier. My truck required the extra bushings that are included, this gave me the recommended space between the axle and the bushing. Perfect fit, no issues.     Yes you can still use Timbren helper springs # TFR1502D on your lifted 2007 Ford F-150. The springs only attach at the top to the truck frame. There are 1 inch spacers included with the kit which you will likely need to use with the lift on your truck. Without the spacers the truck would have to sag more before the springs made contact with the axle.
