  The housing of the Optronics # ST47RB lamp is held together by two screws that are accessed from the rear of the lamp housing.   As far as what position they occupy in the bulb, I couldn't say. Dual filament bulbs like the # DI79VR have two different filaments. One filament is of a different resistance value, and thus makes a brighter light. but the brake and turn signal filament would be the brighter of the two. From what you describe, it certainly sounds as if you have the brake/turn signal and running lamp wire reversed.

• How to Replace Bulb in Wesbar 403075 Trailer Taillight
  I've put in a request to have the video reshot, but in the meantime changing the bulb is very easy. Simply remove the Phillips screw from the underside of the lamp assembly. Once the screw is removed, you can gently pry the clear plastic cover off which will provide access to the bulb (see the provided photo). Push in on the bulb and give it a twist, then pull it free. The replacement bulb is an 1157 which we sell as part # DI79VR.
