This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Lionshead 16" by 6" Liger gunmetal gray aluminum trailer wheel with the 6" on 5 1/2" bolt pattern. Now this is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rust proof. And this one is the attractive Liger series wheel which you can see is a six spoke design. Has a nice gunmetal gray finish to it and it has the machine edges on the spokes and even on the lift right here.
It does use an automotive-grade clear coat finish on the front to protect it from any scuffs and scratches. And you can see in the back there it's protected also. And this does use the steel inserts in the lug nut wells and this is designed to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. Prevents the holes from elongating, eliminates the need for constant retightening of your lug nuts. Now this wheel does come with complimentary roadside assistance for two years.
Gives you flat tire service available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada or Puerto Rico. If you notice the valve stem is installed, it is included. Now this wheel does not come with a center cap. If you do want one, we do sell the center cap separately. The center caps, you do wanna make sure that you get one that has a diameter of 4.25" and that's the diameter of the opening right here.
This pilot hole here is what goes over the hub on your trailer. And if you put a center cap in here, the center cap will go from the back out to the front. So you wanna make sure to purchase a center cap that has that same 4.25" diameter. This wheel does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications and the SAE J1204 standards. A few specs on this, the diameter on this wheel is 16" and that's always measured inside the inside.
So if we take our tape measure and you can see if we go across, inside the inside there's your 16" measurement for the diameter. The width on the wheel is measured same way inside the inside or bead seat to bead seat. So if you do, you can see there's your 6" width on that. Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is a 6" on 5 1/2" bolt pattern. And if you want to measure the bolt pattern on a wheel that's an even number of lugs. Like in this case, six. It's pretty easy because the lug holes are directly across from each other. So to measure the bolt pattern all you have to do is pick any hole, let's say this one. And you measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. So it'll measure 5 1/2". So it's a 6" on 5 1/2" bolt pattern. This does use a wheel lug size of 1/2" by 20" or 9/16" by 18". And then the weight capacity on this wheel is 3,300 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the Lionshead 16" by 6" Liger gunmetal gray aluminum trailer wheel with the 6" on 5 1/2" bolt pattern..

Our toy hauler factory wheels cracked. So I purchased these with HD 16 ply tires. After a year they are holding up well. Very happy with these and they still looked great!

Have had these wheels on my enclosed trailer for a year now and they are great. No complaints and no rust.
Had a horrible blow out on our camper that ruined our rim. I had my new rim in 3 days and was able to get new tire on it so I would have my spare coming home. The whole process was very quick and rim is perfect.
