Need extra light over your camper kitchen sink for when you do the dishes? Or perhaps you need to upgrade the dim, old lights in your enclosed trailer? This incandescent dome light gives you warm yellow light underneath a kitchen cabinet, in a walkway, by a workbench, or inside your enclosed trailer.
Swivel Light Operates with the Integrated Toggle Switch
The light on this dome light is operated using the integrated toggle switch onto the housing. You can angle the light away from your sleeping partner and onto your book, allowing you to read a little longer without waking them up.
Recessed, Bolt-On Installation is Easy
This dome light is incredibly easy to install as an upgrade or direct replacement of your existing light. Because it has a low-profile, recessed design, you will need to cut out a hole if you're not directly replacing a light. Then using hardware (not included), bolt the housing into the ceiling, wall or cabinet. And incandescent light bulb is included.

Today we're going to take a look at the Europa Incandescent RV Directional Light With Switch. This allows you to get a easy access little dome light in your RV, or your other vehicle if you want to mount it pretty much anywhere. We'll be able to swivel our light to get it where we need it to be, whether we're trying to read a map late at night, or just trying to read a book and one of the little nooks in our RV somewhere.Does swivel around. It's kind of . You kind of have to coax it a little bit, but it will give you some adjustability as far as getting that light pointed where you need it to look .. need it to be.
It's just a simple installation. We'll have four mounting holes for our bracket. It does not come with any hardware to get that attached, so you will have to provide some screws on your own. Then at the back, we'll have two wires to connect. Just power and ground.
I've got mine connected with some alligator clips and a light source here, or a power source. Then we'll have a switch on the side, so you can actually turn that on and off, so it makes it easy to access there. Turn the lights out in the studio, we can get a better idea of how bright that light will be.If I pull that back, I'm about two, two and a half feet away from my hand here with the light. It gives you a pretty good amount of light. Not so bright that it's going to be distracting to the driver, but enough that we can get our page illuminated, or our map illuminated, or whatever we're trying to look at.Does have an incandescent bulb.
You can change that out by undoing the screw at the back, and then pushing the wires through. This will be easy to service. Has a prismatic lens at the back to help to give some reflectors to that light. Helps to make it a little bit brighter. It's compatible with 12-volt DC systems.
That mount is recessed, so it will sit pretty flush, especially when we have our globe turned flat, so it won't stick out too far at all from our wall. It doesn't take up too much space. Turn that back off there. As far as dimensions, our housing measures about four and a half inches across, and then about four inches wide. And from the front face of our light to the back of the wiring, I'd say you want to give yourself at least an inch and three quarters to get that actually mounted up so you have enough room to allow for the wires coming off of your switch. The bulb type is 1/68 wedge base. The power draw at 12.8 volts is 0.3 amps and it does have a three year limited warranty from Optronics. You probably think this is going to be a really nice addition to your RV. Gets you a little easy-to-access light, kind of similar to what you would see on an airplane, with that little adjustable light so you can get some reading done. Can mount this pretty much in any configuration that you'd want, whether that's on a wall here, or mounted up on the ceiling somewhere, as long as it's close enough to where you can use it. Then you get access to that switch. And that's going to do it for our look at the Europa Incandescent RV Directional Light With Switch.
