What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the side marker light from Diamond. Today we're gonna be putting this on our BigTex flatbed trailer. It's also known as the mid-shift light. It's gonna go in the middle of the trailer. Now, this is where it's gonna install.
We remove the old ones. So we're gonna put this new one in place and see how it works. This light's gonna be a little different from the other side marker lights. It actually protrudes here. It's not just a flat amber light.
So this is gonna help you see this in the rear view mirror. Also, pay attention to the markings on there. It's gonna tell you this is the front light. So this should be pouring to the front of your trailer when you go to install it. It's gonna use a three-prong setup, just like the old one had.
Plugs right into place, and we'll push it into the grommet. I'm not gonna stall it all the way 'cause we're gonna move it after this video, but I wanted to give you an idea of what it'll look like. You can also submerge these lights, and they are DOT compliant. So you won't have to worry about anything like that. Now that we got it hooked up, let's go ahead and turn the lights on and test those.
So the brake lights are on right now. We can put it on the right turn signal and then put it on tail lights. Taking a closer look at the light, you can see how bright it is. Much brighter than incandescent light. The LEDs really shine through. There's gonna be nine diodes in this setup. You can see how it sits in on the trailer too, and this sections are gonna light up when we use the other signals. Will be nine diodes here on our light. You can already see how bright it is. Now, the dimensions for it are gonna be six 6 1/2 inches by 2 5/16 inches wide. So measure your trailer and make sure these are gonna fit too. Overall, I think they're gonna be a definite upgrade on your trailer. Even from LED to LED, these are quite a bit brighter. Now, if you're doing an upgrade from incandescent, it's gonna be even better because these are gonna last way longer. They're not gonna get hot. You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or filaments going out. So these are gonna be on your trailer for a long time. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helped.
