The hitch was mailed directly to the shop that services my Mini Cooper and easily installed by my mechanic. I have an old Mini Cooper. The back fender already contained a perforation in the center that was intended to be cut out for this very purpose. The oblong hole that was created when pushing out the perforated section was not big enough though to expose the stem of the hitch to which the bike rack would be attched. This was not a problem with the hitch but with the Mini Cooper fender. The mechanic widened the hole in the fender and I was then able to attach the bike rack to the hitch. If you are buying this hitch for a Mini Cooper keep in mind the hole in the fender will be rough edged and look unfinished because it had to be cut with a metal saw by the mechanic.
Installation went as well the only thing that makes use difficult is space behind bumper is tight so hitch pin must be put in by laying on ground. But this is a Mini Cooper thing! When our bike rack is off hitch is invisible

This is the fourth Curt hitch receiver I've bought. The quality and finish is always excellent and the fit is always perfect. The bolt holes line right up with the vehicle frame. I purchased this particular hitch for installation on a 2010 Mini Cooper, which I plan to use for pulling a small utility trailer.
Perfect for beach days and camping with my MINI. Husband says install was easy. Cannot wait for my next excursion.
Very happy with my eTrailer order! Order was processed promptly and received ahead of schedule. Customer Service did a great job of communicating order status and follow-up on overall process.
The instructional videos were very helpful and gave me the confidence to disassemble/reassemble my rear bumper in order to install the trailer hitch.
My only complaint (not eTrailer's fault) was the effort required to cut down the Mini's energy absorbing foam insert within the bumper. This added roughly 75 minutes to my install time - would have been considerably faster if I wasn't reduced to using a hand saw.
Fit well and easy to install, receiver could be a little longer to protrude out from the bumper cover

This is the second hitch I have purchased from etrailer because I made a mistake and ordered the wrong one because I didn't pay attention to the details.
Once my mechanic tried to install it said I ordered the wrong one I immediately called and was lucky enough to reach AllisonK on the other end. I explained what I did and that I needed to order the correct one and send the wrong one back. Allison was extremely polite and professional on the call. She helped me get everything straighten out and even changed the shipping address to the mechanic. Allison sent me a return shipping label as we were talking on the phone. My new hitch was in the mail and received at the mechanic's shop 2 days before I thought it would be.

Received trailer hitch and platform holder on time. It was very well boxed. Trailer hitch went on with no problem (I used my local mechanic to install it). No rattles on hitch. My Mini and I can now go
camping. Buy this hitch. It is constructed very well and fits the car
perfectly!
Instructions were clear. Should include a warning about breakable plastic pins. Otherwise a nice hitch and I get quite a few looks cause the trailer although very light weight looks bigger than the Mini.
I have a Gen 2 Mini Cooper convertible, hitch was easy to install, just follow the video. Without the bike rack on it is practically invisible. Highly recommend!
MINI dealer installed the hitch with absolutely no issues at all and has worked beautifully when call into service. Recommend it highly to any MINI owner who needs to haul bikes, skiis or extra cargo.

The hitch is working our well on the mini. I also got the lighting harness kit which was a little tricky to install, but working fine. I love to see the look on people’s faces when they see Mini Cooper pulling a trailer!
