Hidden Cross Tube for a Clean, Factory Look

The EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch is designed to be as inconspicuous as possible. The hitch's cross tube bolts onto your vehicle's frame, behind your rear bumper. No drilling or welding is required. Once the hitch is installed, only the receiver will be visible beneath your bumper. This means that your vehicle can maintain its stylish, from-the-factory look, and you won't have to do any major modifications to its body or frame.

Eco-Friendly Material

With a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, each EcoHitch is made of a strong metal alloy that will withstand the test of time. The lightweight alloy is composed of recycled materials. Traditional steel hitch manufacturing can use coal or oil, which can contribute to harmful gas emissions. The EcoHitch's recycled materials limit the carbon footprint during manufacturing, so you get a sturdy trailer hitch while also helping the environment.

Rigorous Strength Testing Ensures Durability

This EcoHitch trailer hitch is tested for durability and sturdiness. Using Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA), individual points of stress on the hitch can be detected and remedied. Designers can accurately test the hitch to ensure that it will meet or exceed SAE J684 standards. The EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch is carefully researched and strength tested for a durable, high-quality hitch that can resist damage while on the road.

2021 Honda Odyssey

I was actually going to order the other hidden hitch option but this was a quicker delivery which I required.
As mentioned by a previous customer the size of the cut out should be 5.5 inches, not 4' as stated. At least on a 2021 Odyssey.
The other direction quirk is that it calls for an additional cutout for the exhaust protector on the "bumper fascia." It also includes a small closeup picture of where to cut. But this picture doesn't match anything on my car. And because its a close up I really have no idea if its part of the bumper or what. It may be that Honda changed its design, but I struggled to find where I was supposed to make the second cut and then simply ignored that step. There is a pinch point on the driver side where which, if one is unaware, makes it slightly challenging to reinstall the bumper. The bumper sits flush to the hitch and a separate splash "shield" that needs to be reinstalled between these two points. It is too tight and I solved this by trimming that part of the shield that would have made contact with the hitch. Other than that, I would say it looks %100 better than my previous model that was fully exposed under the frame. Once your spouse gets over the shock of having their new car in pieces in your garage, the install is pretty straightforward and all the Honda pins and screws are easily removed and reinstalled.

Excellent!!! We just got a 2924 and are ordering the same product

Quick delivery and packaged well. Hitch was well manufactured and finished. Kit was short two lock washers but did include a bolt fisher. etrailer install video for the 2018 Odyssey was easy to follow. I would recommend running a thread tap through the nuts welded to the frame before installing the bolts.

The installation looks very good! I am sorry to hear about the missing washers and I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you.

by:

Fits my 2021 Honda Odyssey Elite as expected. Hardest part was taking off the bumper! Make sure you have time to install it. Cannot attest to the pulling performance, but it has taken my 4-bike Thule bike rack with no issues.

by:

Great product, but by far the most helpful thing was the installation video etrailer put on YouTube for my specific vehicle. That gave me the confidence to install the hidden hitch myself.

by:

Hitch hardware was loose in the box when it arrived. Missing multiple hardware items and the loose items in the box scratched the hitch receivers paint.

Oh my goodness! It seems that the hitch had quite the journey to your doorstep. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you. We will have the hardware sent out. I recommend touching up the hitch with a rust resistant paint. We can also have that sent out to you.

2022 Honda Odyssey

Shipping was super fast and FREE!!! etrailer provides great installation videos to help demonstrate the entire process. As others have mentioned, I also had to trim a little more off the bumper cover than the recommended measurements. It took me about an hour from start to finish. My wife was against adding a hitch receiver to her van because they're typically bulky but the EcoHitch was a good compromise she was okay with.

2020 Honda Odyssey

Hitch installed perfectly! Only had to make one minor adjustment. The short cutout in the bumper needs to be 5.5 inches instead of 4.5.
I had a good day. Delighted with the hitch install, and smoked a brisket on my Big Green Egg for dinner.

2020 Honda Odyssey

Everything are good except the two plates doesn't fit through the hole. I have to get a replacement from [hardware store] to avoid the delay of my installation.

by:

Purchased for a 2021 Honda Odyssey. Item was on backorder at time of purchase; communication during wait period and shipping was clear and timely. Product arrived with some minor scratching in areas, not affecting function at all. We touched up with some black spray paint before installing to minimize future rust. We followed the install video, segment by segment, and had the trailer hitch installed in 3 hours. Cut-out for the hitch plate was a bit off, but not visible at all since it's on the underside of the bumper. Follow the cut-out size as recommended by other reviews (sorry, I forgot the dimensions as I am now writing this several months after the install). I am very pleased with the concealed look. Also, I have not yet scraped the receiver on any driveway/lot aprons, which happened often with an exposed hitch that I had on my (old 2005) Toyota Sienna. Definitely pleased with the product, customer service, and install video. I would order again.

by:

This hitch is clearly excellent quality and came packaged well. Installation was very straight forward and the hitch went on without any trouble. We tested it with a drive from CA to KS and back and it performed as expected. Good customer service as well with follow ups to make sure I am happy with the product. 100% would recommend!!!

by:

So easy to install. Watched the youtube video and that certainly made it super easy.

Just had it installed on my 2021 odyssey. Looks good and well made. Wish i had read the instructions before buying, because i missed the part that says that you need a fish wire for one of the bolts. Was able to improvise.

Better than expected - heavy

  • 2022 Honda Odyssey Recommendation Between Draw-Tite and EcoHitch Trailer Hitches
Long story short go with the Draw-Tite # 76170 for your 2022 Honda Odyssey. It has the same basic design and function as the EcoHitch # 306-X7372 and the only real difference is the Draw-Tite is made of steel while the EcoHitch is made of a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel but it uses recycled materials which is where it gets the name "Eco". Attached is an installation video of the Draw-Tite on a 2022 Odyssey for you to check out. If you were planning...

There are two trailer hitches with a hidden crosstube that fit your 2020 Honda Odyssey, the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7372 and Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C64NR. Between these two, I highly recommend the Curt hitch because it is far more economical than the EcoHitch for the same functionality. The only difference is that the EcoHitch is made of an alloy of recycled metals, while the Curt is made from steel. Otherwise, the Curt is simply the better value and what I...
