Hidden Cross Tube for a Clean, Factory Look

The EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch is designed to be as inconspicuous as possible. The hitch's cross tube bolts onto your vehicle's frame, behind your rear bumper. No drilling or welding is required. Once the hitch is installed, only the receiver will be visible beneath your bumper. This means that your vehicle can maintain its stylish, from-the-factory look, and you won't have to do any major modifications to its body or frame.

Eco-Friendly Material

With a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, each EcoHitch is made of a strong metal alloy that will withstand the test of time. The lightweight alloy is composed of recycled materials. Traditional steel hitch manufacturing can use coal or oil, which can contribute to harmful gas emissions. The EcoHitch's recycled materials limit the carbon footprint during manufacturing, so you get a sturdy trailer hitch while also helping the environment.

Rigorous Strength Testing Ensures Durability

This EcoHitch trailer hitch is tested for durability and sturdiness. Using Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA), individual points of stress on the hitch can be detected and remedied. Designers can accurately test the hitch to ensure that it will meet or exceed SAE J684 standards. The EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch is carefully researched and strength tested for a durable, high-quality hitch that can resist damage while on the road.

It is a very solid hitch. It was a little difficult to align as it may have been slightly bent during shipping. The paint looks like it will last a long time and trimming the bumper was not as difficult as I'd anticipated.

Great product and quick delivery.Instalation was a little challenging but the step by step video was very helpful. The only class 3 hitch available for my 2010 civic.

2007 Honda Civic

This hitch fit my 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid , however I had to use a couple of shorter 1 1/4 inch bolts to fit in hole B on both sides, the included bolt of 1 1/2 is to long for that hole. Also you might have to mount one side and bend/push to align holes for opposite side. takes a little force. other than these two issues product is hefty ...

Packaging not damaged, but the hitch inside it was bent. Disappointed item cost $400 for cheaply made part made in USA.

I hate to say it however this is not entirely uncommon. When the hitches are shipped to us they are shipped on large pallets which can cause the side brackets to be bent out of alignment. We do have a FAQ that can help you to still install the hitch.

by:

Difficult install. Mediocre instructions. Once installed my exhaust taps against the tow package making a loud terrible knocking (like a Jack hammer)noise all the time. I will have to figure out a way to get the exhaust to stop hitting it.

You mentioned that the exhaust taps against the hitch and I wanted to let you know that this can be common occurrence. We have a FAQ that covers solutions that will correct the banging that you are hearing. You can see it in the FAQ below:

by:

Never got it in. The bolts were too long to fish thru the boxed body with the flimsy fish wire. Will eventually go thru the trunk with 4 long bolts. Great quality hitch other than the fish wire fiasco!!!!

by:

Great hitch. It fits on my car nicely and is not noticeable at all.

by:

The hitch was hard to install, but now installed, works great!

by:

Fast and accurate service with a hard to find product. Thanks

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2010 Honda Civic Sedan with a Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack
Your 2010 Honda Civic has two hitches that are confirmed to fit; EcoHitch # 306-X7233 and Curt # C11391. The Yakima Holdup # Y02445 is for 1-1/4 inch Hitches but is designed to fit a Class II hitch and not a Class I. Class I hitches generally have a weld stop inside the receiver tube to prevent the use of Class II accessories which can sometimes exceed the weight capacity. You could use the Curt with your HoldUp because they do not use that weld stop in the Class I hitch receivers so...

  • Does EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver 306-X7233 Fit A 2007 Honda Civic Sedan Si?
The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 306-X7233 you were looking at is confirmed to fit your 2007 Honda Civic Sedan Si. The reason it says that it fits all of the models mentioned is some hitches do fit the Si models and some do not, so the only way we could get it to appear in our fitguide for both models is by listing both which can be kind of confusing. This hitch is a great option for your Civic due to it having a 2" receiver that gives you the most options...

  • Curt Trailer Hitches for 2010 Honda Civic LX to Carry Bike Rack
First, the Curt # C11391 that fits your 2010 Honda Civic LX is a great Class I hitch, as are all the hitches that fit this vehicle, but the class I, means you are limited to carrying a maximum of two bikes with your vehicle and adhere to a 200-pound weight capacity. For this I highly recommend you check out the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider # HR200Z which uses padded hooks to grasp your bikes by the top tubes and adjustable wheel mounts with straps to secure your rear wheels. The mast tilts...

  • Hitch and Single Bike Rack Solution for 2010 Honda Civic
I have a solution for your but the 1Up bike rack that fits the 1-1/4 inch hitch size requires a Class II hitch which for your 2010 Honda Civic there are only Class I hitches in this size. But you could use a 2 inch hitch like the EcoHitch # 306-X7233 which would allow you to use the 2 inch hitch version of the 1up rack. Or if you wanted to use the smaller hitch size you could use the Yakima SingleSpeed part # Y02481 with a Class I hitch like the # C11391 that fits your vehicle.

Thank you for all of the details. I spoke with my contact at Kuat about using an adapter like the Brophy # HTAD with the 2-Bike version of the Kuat NV 2.0 Platform Rack # NV22G-NA22G and she said that using an expanding adapter like that would void the warranty of the bike rack due to the extra play.
