Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.The trailer hitch came damaged from shipping the ears were bent so I had to hit on them pretty hard with a rubber mallet to get them close enough to fit up there. There was a lot of trimming of the caulking that needed to be done. I think the other trailer hitch that you have for sale on your website would’ve been easier to install. Also had to use touch up paint because we’re bend it was all chipped

I apologize for the flex in the hitch. This is a common occurrence since the brackets are made of mild steel to flex with potholes and similar situations. Using a rubber mallet can help or there are other tips in the help article attached. You did the right thing with covering the bare metal on your hitch with anti-corrosive paint to keep rust away.
