Well built hitch and very easy to install. Needed a hitch capable of towing a 12K loaded toy hauler and this hitch easily handles the load. Very happy with it after using it for the last year.

by:

Seems to be good so far the powder coating or paint is still in good shape and we get alot of salt on our roads, so that’s a plus and so far the pin hole has not wallowed put I don’t tow super heavy 10kish but it’s been good so far

Wanted a 2.5 receiver for my 2001 Super Duty. Went through two different DrawTite receivers first. The first one had a crooked receiver tube. Never tried to install. The second one I tried to install but it hit the bumper before being able to tighten up to the frame. etrailer was great about sending prepaid labels to ship back. Just a pain to have to re-wrap and take to UPS drop-off. etrailer would not send the Curt as a replacement. Got credited for the DrawTite hitch and I ordered the Curt Hitch. Had it installed in 20 minutes. Factory wiring harness mount bolted right up. Curt hitch is well built and seems to have a better finish than the DrawTite.

Ford F-350 Super Duty

The box was destroyed but other than some missing paint I don't think anyone could hurt this hitch because it's a tank. I would like suggestions on what paint to use for touching up the scratches.

I bought it to replace the 2 1/2 inch OEM hitch (2015 F350) which is nowhere near this capable. I'm looking forward to installing it and no longer worrying about tongue weight limitations. As always thanks etrailer! You remain one of the best companies I've ever dealt with.

by:
2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I used this to replace my factory Ford 2 1/2 inch hitch. This thing is twice as heavy and has a lot more rating. I strapped this monster to my motorcycle jack and installed by myself. I tow a 26 ft. deck over triple axle trailer. Thank You.

by:

The hitch is working great. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I had to use some bolts & hardware off of the old hitch. The new hardware didn't fit in some places due to tight clearances. But I was able to install it fine. Thanks for checking up. This reminds me that I need to get back up there & check to make sure everything is right & tight!

by:

So far so good! Easy installation and fit my truck as advertised. With proper 2-1/2" hitches (vs adapters) the connection is solid. I'll never exceed the capacity of the hitch receiver, so I expect it to last. A few rust bits where the coating has been disrupted, but so far holding up to New England winter/dirt roads

by:

My hitch came in 2 days and was exactly as described. Super happy with e trailer. Love the instruction videos, very helpful.

by:
2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Curt receivers are great quality, plus etrailer had my order shipped the same day and was delivered the next day!

One lesson learned for me was this particular hitch (15810) does not fit with the spare tire on a 2008 F-250.

Thanks again for a great product and extremely fast shipping and customer service! I definitely recommend using etrailer over large box stores.

You are absolutely correct, Joshua. Spare tires larger than 20 inches will not be able to be stored in the original location underneath the vehicle.

by:
2000 Ford F-350 Super Duty

The hitch has held up nicely for the year that I have had it on my truck. It is very stout. The paint has held up well to the elements so far.
It went on fairly easily and all of the holes lined up. It was helpful to have a second person to help hold the hitch in place in order to get the first bolts in.
I purchased this hitch when I realized that the hitch that came with my truck was only rated at 3500lbs, a fair bit less than the trailer I tow..
The box that it came in barely held up to the shipping monkeys on the way out to the Seattle area.

by:
2006 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Item was delivered quickly with all the bolts and it fit my truck perfectly.

by:
1999 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

The Curt 20,000 pound commercially rated receiver is is built like a battleship! And while it was difficult to man handle alone, I was able to install it using the eight supplied bolts in about 20 minutes. The fit was positively perfect, so someone at Curt did their homework on the design. The only complaint I have is that unlike my Reese Hitch, it did not include the 2" reducer sleeve. A lousy $15 difference! Don't be cheap, for this kind of money it should be included. Now I get to pay $25 in shipping for a $15 part.

2017 Chevrolet Traverse

Ordered Thursday evening just before Memorial Day weekend, and arrived Tuesday afternoon. Was shipped out very quickly with update emails through the entire process! Although the box was a bit torn up from shipping the hitch was still in great shape with all hardware and the wiring for another vehicle I ordered, in the box. Hitch is amazing quality, VERY heavy duty, and bolted right into place! I did have to forgo the nice factory wiring/plug mount and zip tie them into place, but other than that it was a perfect bolt on affair! Will definitely do business with these folks again

by:

Awesome website, they made the process simple, kept me updated with emails, and delivered the product on time. Companies like this that handle their end, and keep good communication are things we need more of. 10/10

by:

Excellent build quality and installation was very easy. Needed an extra set of hands during install due to the weight of the receiver.

by:

All around great first time experience! Mike was great and the product showed up way before I was expecting and it fit perfectly.

by:
2005 Ford F-350 Super Duty

This unit fit so perfectly on my 2005 f-350 srw. Once again I'm impressed with this company and how quick it came in. Anything I ever need for a trailer I will do business with these people

by:

Thank you very much!

by:
2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Fits the 2001 Ford F250 really well. It's quite a bit larger than the class 4 hitch we removed.

by:
1999 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Heavy duty receiver. Easy install, but definitely need two people because it is heavy. Will handle all my trailers.

by:

Order came super quick, looks and fits great! Was able to do by myself with help from a strap and a couple clamps.

by:

I’ve never had any issues with the hitch, it’s very solid for heavier towing, all around a good product

by:
2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Shipping was fast! Packaging was intact. Product was in excellent shape and installed easy.

by:

Outstanding product, higher towing capabilities. Superior Construction and Strength. Added feature for any SRW trucks, quarter ton or one ton. Maximum potential and peace of mind. Worth the upgrade to a Type V.

It has been a year since my type V tow bar was replaced. It has met all of my expectations and performed extremely well. Strong, sturdy, outperforming the type 3 it replaced. I have been capable of towing virtually anything my truck can handle. For best results and less stress pair it up with a quality torsion-flex technology product compatible with your Class V tow bar for less stressed towing. Long story short. I made the right investment for my business and my truck. Versatility is the name of the game.

  • Will the Curt Trailer Hitch C15810 Fit a 2005 Ford F-350 With 18 Inch Spare Wheel/Tire
The tech tip that you are referring to on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C15810 for your 2005 Ford F-350 is in reference to the diameter of the wheel. Since you have an 18" diameter spare wheel under your truck then you will not have any issues installing this trailer hitch. In order to mount your 4 and 7-way trailer connector to the above trailer hitch you will need to use the Curt Easy Mount Bracket for Trailer Connectors part # C58003 or the Curt No-Drill Bracket for Trailer...

  • Does The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15810 Require Drilling To Install On a 2009 Ford F-350?
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15810 is a custom fit receiver which should not require drilling to install on a 2009 Ford F-350 Super Duty. If you have a cab and chassis version F-350 you will want the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15845 and this will require drilling to install. This receiver is similar to the receiver # C15810 in having a 2-1/2" receiver. If you are unsure if you have a cab and chassis or Super Duty you can check the vehicle information sticker inside your door frame....

  • Recommended Class V Hitch for 2001 Ford F-350 Long Bed Pickup
The Curt # C15845 Class V hitch you'd looked at fits cab and chassis model trucks only, because cab and chassis trucks use a narrower frame spread (outside to outside distance between frame members) than the pickup models do. For a 2001 F-350 Long bed pickup, use the Curt Class V hitch, part # C15810. The hitch has the same 20K towing 2.7K tongue weight capacity and 2-1/2 inch receiver as the hitch you'd looked at, but it will fit your frame spread. The hitch will install using existing...

  • 7-Way Mounting Bracket Recommendation for Use with Curt Trailer Hitch C15810
The Curt hitch part # C15810 does not have a bracket built into it for mounting trailer wiring. Since your truck has a 7-way what you'd want is a 7-way mounting bracket like part # HM48625 which will attach to the bumper of your truck and allow your 7-way to attach to it. Don't install this on the hitch though as you shouldn't ever drill into the hitch.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - 2-1/2" # C15810 is a confirmed fit for a 2006 F-350 Super Duty. The fuel tank location you gave is normally for a Cab and Chassis model according to my contact at Curt, so you will need the # C15845 instead if your vehicle frame is 34 inches wide outside to outside.

I have a Curt Class V 2-1/2 inch that fits your 2000 Ford F-350 cab and chassis with the # C15845 but the # C15810 was not designed to fit the narrower cab and chassis truck frames so it would not work for you. • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for a 2001 Ford F-250 Stake Pocket Truck
If there is no trailer wiring at all at the rear of your 2001 Ford F-350 with a stake bed you are going to have to hardwire in a 4-way and then a 7-way adapter after. If there is a 4-way connector currently or you find the square connector that the part # 20031 attaches to you could go that route as well. For a hardwire 4-way you would need the part # 18252.
