Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"

I was surprised how well the Curt Trailer Hitch fit on my 2008 Land Rover LR-2. The instructions were clear and everything just bolted right on. I had a little help from a friend but one person could probably install it quite easily. We didn't even need to lift the vehicle. It is a great design and a great fit. The bolts were too long to tighten the n all the way. Only used for a bike rack so I never bothered fixing. The hitch seemed good just didn't have the correct bolts.1098988

Thank you for your review. On the passenger side you use the smaller bolts. You will need to torque the M14 hardware to 126 ft lbs and 7 sixteenth hardware to 70 ft lb. Please watch this install video:

The hitch is fine and order and delivery was easy and prompt but it was not as simple going on as other reviews made it appear. I'm pretty competent with tools and working on my cars and it could have been a bad day, but after I put in the driver side bolt and went to the passenger side I thought I was ok but the bracket on the hitch ended on the outside of the bracket on the frame I had to use a pry bar to move it to the inside. I'm not sure why inch and 1/2 bolts are supplied as 1 inch would be fine and I had to use a deep socket on the nut because the bolt stuck out so much. On the bolt nearest the tow eye the washer was just a little too large and ended up at an angle because it hit the tow eye and wouldn't slide flush. Lastly, the hitch is angled up and touches the body cover under the bumper. A bit less angle would have cleared. All in all a 30 min job was closer to 2 hours after doing and undoing to get things acceptable.208414

I purchased this hitch for my wife's 2012 Lr2 Land Rover. I had gone to our local trailer hitch dealer and For the same hitch I purchased at etrailer they were going to charge me twice the amount, plus 200.00 to install. I have 7 vertebrae fused in my neck, and I was able to easily install the hitch to her car.817516

Product delivered in 4 days from order date. Package carton was damaged and one side of hitch was protruding through box. Nice job of packaging hardware and accessories taped to hitch or likely would have been lost out of carton hole. Hitch undamaged and installed in 15 min. (No kidding). An easy installation, accomplished alone (by a non-mechanic), in less than 30 minutes, with no need to jack up the car or to remove other parts/pieces. A very sturdy and well thought out product.989815

Quick install on a 2013 LR2. Required no drilling, but a bit of a tight squeeze on some of the bolts & nuts.

Much easier than the factory hitch (which requires removing the bumper and cutting the facia).129264
