Bolted up easy. Used the hardware included and fish wire. Install video is helpful. After watching video, it took me about 30 minutes to install. No modifications needed. 2012 chrysler 200 2.4l sedan.
Every thing went right from ordering ,delivering and installing. I could not be more satisfied.
The receiver appears built tough, with solid welds and a nice finish that will hopefully stand up to our salty winter roads. Install was per the instructions, though I will caution that it's not easy with one person and no lift. Assuming you have ramps for the wheels, and jack stands to hold the exhaust, there's not much room left for yourself to get under there and repeatedly chest press the hitch into place while you struggle to balance it with one hand and fish bolts through the holes w/ the other. The nuts seemed to keep tightening forever, they essentially pulled the hitch mounts out to meet the frame rails. Initially there was about 1/2" total gap to get drawn together. It took a lot to get to 110 ft-lbs too, there isn't a lot of angle to turn the torque wrench and it actually started sucking the plates into the frame rails before it got to torque spec.
Overall I'm pleased, the 2-hour install could have certainly gone better if I had four hands but also could have gone worse. The hitch seems extremely well made, now I'm just waiting for the bike rack to use with it.
As far as etrailer, the order process was smooth (as you would expect it to be in this day and age). Beyond that, packaging was nice and shipping was super fast. Very happy w/ service and product.
I bought this hitch with a plan to use some accessories on my car. I dragged my feet abit with the installation, thinking that it would be a complete pain in my butt. I was very wrong. The install was so straight forward and it literally took at most, 30 minutes. Everything you need is provided in the kit. However I would suggest lock-tight for the hardware. Overall, I am very pleased with the hitch. But mostly for etrailer. This website is great and easy to use.
This Curt is the 3rd car hitch I purchased from etrailer. My other 2 were draw tite hitches for other vehicles. I would recommend the Curt over the draw tite. Better made product. The last draw tite hitch I purchased I had to spend an an hour filing the inside out so my 3 different hitches would slide in better. Draw tite also has a metal tab in front that prevents me from sliding my bike rack in far enough to use the bolt in hole. 2014 Chrysler 200 convertible.
Works great. We use it for a bike rack to haul some Mountain bikes. Never had a problem.

Glad I made the decision to have a hitch installed on my Dodge to pull my new trailer for my Harley Davidson , Instead of renting from a Rental Co , very proud owner of a new trailer and a hitch I can remove and reinstall the slide hitch anytime I need to hookup - etrailer took care of all my needs even the supplies for the inside of my new box trailer -They sure hooked me up !
The installation was just like the instructions explained. I did use the etrailer video to give me a better idea for insatlling the hitch. The installation was very easy.

I love my bike rack. The trailer hitch was easy to install on my car and the bike rack is easy to put on the hitch.
2011 dodge avenger. I wanted to pull a jetski, I literally went all over town and finally decided to order from etrailer. Such a great idea! The hitch was installed in less than 15 minutes. As far as the actual tow goes, it works. Not bad at all, highly recommend.

This hitch is pretty easy to install. It does everything my light duty car will let me do.
havnt done the wires yet, but the hitch was delivered fast and went on without a hitch ha ha! didnt even have to jack up the car. Very please with everything. Thank you.

Installation video was most helpful. Everything fits as expected, no problems at all. If you have dual exhaust on your avenger, it will take some persuasion to get this into place.

Aside from being a little hard to wrestle onto the car by myself in my driveway, the hitch was great. Used it for a bike carrier. Just traded in that car this week so my experience with the hitch has come to an end, but I have nothing negative to say! Just a little rust in the receiver as expected but it held up well to a Chicago winter.
