2006 Ford F-150 - K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors - Clip On - Pair

  • Clip-On Mirror
  • K Source
  • Manual
  • Fits Driver and Passenger Side
  • Non-Heated

Universal dual lens towing mirror clips over one of your existing side mirrors to give you an extended rear view. A ratcheting strap system creates a snug fit to reduce vibration. Driver's and passenger's side. Tool-free installation.

Features:

  • Dual lens towing mirror mounts on either of your factory side mirrors to extend your line of sight
    • Gives you an expanded view of the road and your trailer
    • Allows you to safely and easily change lanes, back up, pass, and park
  • Adjustable so it fits mirrors of different shapes and sizes
    • Ratcheting system securely tightens heavy-duty rubber straps over a variety of mirrors
    • Mounting arms rotate outward to accommodate different factory mirrors
      • Pivoting joints in the middle of the arms allow further adjustability
    • Sliding clips grab onto the edge of your factory mirror and adjust to fit varying mirror thicknesses
  • Snug fit reduces mirror vibration
  • Manually adjustable mirror face allows you to customize your view
  • Quick-release button on ratchet for easy strap adjustment and fast removal
  • Rubber pads on the straps protect your vehicle's mirror housing from scratches
  • Convex mirror makes reflections appear smaller than with a flat mirror, allowing you to see more
  • Black plastic housing provides a clean look and won't rust or corrode
  • Easy, tool-free installation and removal - no hardware required

Specs:

  • Application: fits most mirrors 4-1/2" to 11-1/2" tall
  • Mirror face dimensions: 7-1/2" wide x 5-1/8" tall
  • Quantity: 2 mirrors
  • 90-Day warranty

These adjustable, universal-fit dual lens towing mirrors expand your field of vision so you can better see your trailer or anything else that is behind you. The ratcheting strap system gives you a snug fit that reduces mirror vibration. Because the mirror arms adjust into several shapes, it can be attached to either the driver's-side or passenger's-side mirror on a variety of vehicles. Each of the mirror's mounting arms is jointed behind the mirror so the arms pivot inward or outward, and 2 additional joints in the middle of each arm add further adjustability so you get the perfect fit.

Built-in clips on the arms will grab the lip between the glass on your factory mirror and the factory housing. These clips are also adjustable to fit the thickness of your mirror housing.

Ksource Universal Towing Mirror Ratchet Diagram

The ratcheting system uses heavy-duty rubber straps to tighten the towing mirror securely over your existing mirror. A quick-release button in the middle of the ratchet lever allows you to unlock the ratchet mechanism for fast strap adjustment or easy removal of the mirror. When you install the towing mirror, use the ratchet lever to tighten the straps. When you have the straps securely on your mirror, close the ratchet covers over the ratchets to lock them in place.

A ball joint behind the mirror allows you to manually adjust the mirror face to different viewing angles. You can also turn the entire mirror face to a horizontal or vertical position - whatever works best for your application. Rubber pads on the straps protect the back of your factory mirror to prevent scratches when this mirror is installed for towing. Tools and other hardware aren't needed for installation, and the tight fit means there is no danger of losing these mirrors on the side of the road. You'll be ready to travel in minutes, and the increased field of vision will allow you to cruise the highways stress free.

Would not work on a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee as it stated that it would.

I would like to help with the mirrors. Can you tell me in more detail how the mirrors are fitting for you?

by:

They will not stay on the mirrors for a 2023 Grand Cherokee. After very careful installation they fell off because the shape of the mirror is rounded and you cannot get a good grip to hold the mirror on

I know that is disappointing that the fit is not exact. Would you be able to send a picture of the fit on the mirrors. I have a video install below on a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee that we have done.

by:
Kia Sorento

The mirrors worked better than I expected and fit a Kia Sorento quite well. The design is pretty easy to mount and dismount once they're set up.Ive wind tested them to 72 mph when passing and they've held tight

by:
2012 Chevrolet Equinox

I was very disappointed these mirrors were shipped in a thin display box without a cardboard box to protect them. I have attached a photo of the box bottom. Mirrors appear to be ok but not sure I would chance ordering anything more from you.

by:
2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee

This is my second pair of towing mirrors. The first ones were the twentysomething dollars and a big disappointing. I was spending over five minutes to arrange them just to start driving and have them move and be almost useless. These are fitting so much better on my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee! The attachment system is ferm and with a better grip on the mirror, the entire assembly is suddenly part of the car and the best thing is that you can adjust the two mirrors without moving the entire thing. When in the right position, you can see a lot more in the mirror so you can confidently move your trailer. Very satisfied with this product, fits very well despite being universal.

After one year of using these I am more than satisfied with this purchase. Every time the set up is fast and the mirrors are staying in the right place making them perfect right away. I am towing a wider travel trailer and these are providing the visibility I need.

by:

This extension mirror work well for towing our small trailer. It's supposed to fit our 2015 Audi Q5 which was what I entered when ordering. The problem is this mirror housing has an extreme curve and the mirror would slide off without another attachment aid. Before taking on the road the first time I attached a nylon strap with a Fastex buckle (3 ft from REI), tying the mirror arm back to where the mirror connects to the car body, and that did the trick.

9/25/2021

I e used these mirrors for 2 years now, logging about 7 or 8,000 mi. They are very functional, have held up well and are fairly easy to install and remove. The fit issue I discussed in my first review stands: because of the curvebulge in my Audi mirror housing I have to use a strap to pull the mirror back towards the car to keep from sliding off.

by:

mirrors shake and don't hold their position (unit fit snug), creating a visual disturbance & distraction... unsafe & unable to use

by:

I've tried multiple mirror styles on the Ford Explorer and these are the best. They stay on the mirrors which are curved and do a great job while towing the camper. The view is excellent and the quality outstanding. Highly recommend these. Other mirrors actually fell off on the highway as the small tabs that slide into the vehicle mirror housings are made of white metal and as you put pressure on them they crack.
The ratchet style connectors make this a perfect device for these curved mirrors on the car.

One year later and they are working great! We have taken many trips and so far they are the best.

Very pleased with the product and delivered directly on time thank you very much will be purchasing more in the future

2019 Hyundai Santa Fe

These K-Source universal towing mirrors are great for the most part. The biggest problem is that they put a lot of pressure on the mirror housing to keep them attached to my mirrors, and I am noticing that my mirrors are starting to distort a little.

After a year with the K-Source dual lens towing mirrors, they are great quality. However they don’t fit my car mirrors very well, mostly due to the aerodynamic shape of the mirror my car has. I almost lost one twice from falling off. I would still buy again.

10/2/2023

Yeah, universal mirrors will not fit the mirrors perfectly. Most of the time, though it only requires an adjustment every time that you use them. If you ever have any serious issues with them, or even lose one just let me know and we can see what we can do for you.

This Universal Mirror does not fit the Toyota Tunda as promised. The attachment arms are not long enough to attach to mirror.

6/13/2024

I know we have installed these on a 2019 Toyota Tundra and I included the link below. I recommend taking a look at part # KS48NQ which is a snap on mirror that is a custom fit verses being an universal mirror.

by:
2019 Ford Ranger

The mirrors provide good visibility around the trailer on my 2019 Ford Ranger. Due to the curved, sloping shape of the plastic frame of the truck mirrors the extensions occasionally slip and need repositioning and retightening.

Don

8/21/2023

Working well after a year. I havent had any slipping issues since working out a system for placing and tightening the mirrors

by:
Toyota Tundra

put them on and they work really well. A little vibration with the larger mirror on my 2023 tundra but nothing to complain about. ETRAILER.COM was great at getting my order done and shipped quickly via UPS. KUDOS for that..

by:

Provided a good field of view down the length of the trailer and allowed me to see traffic as it was coming up from behind.

by:

This is the third set of mirrors I have installed on different vehicles. I bought these for my 2019 Ford Expedition and tow a 25 foot trailer. Once they are installed on the vehicle's mirrors they work fine, providing both near and distant views of the trailer and road. Because of the rounded shape of the Expedition's mirrors these mirrors are finicky to install, requiring multiple adjustments to get them properly placed. This is as much a criticism of the Expedition's mirrors as it is the K-Source mirrors--they are "universal" after all. The first time I used the mirrors I was fearful that they would come off at 70 mph but they stay in place and there is limited amount of vibration--I get a clear view. I was attracted to these mirrors because of the double view and that has been excellent.

by:

I bought these for my 2014 Expedition as there were no "slip-on" type mirrors available at the time. After some trail in fitting these they worked well. I towed a 22' car hauler from Kansas to Reno NV and back with no problems. I did find that after they were on the vehicle awhile the straps needed to adjusted and tightened up but the ratchet type straps worked well for that. Also, no marring of my painted mirrors. They even retract with the folding mirrors I have on this truck. Pictures attached are the only two I have kind of showing the mirrors, not too good. etrailer has always been good to deal with. I would recommend these strap on mirrors. I wish they made the slip on type mirror for this year Expedition as it has a cleaner look.

by:

Decent solution for 2019 RAM 2500. Fairly easy to install and adjust. Need to retighten the straps occasionally during longer trips as they stretch a bit. Shakes/vibrates a bit as expected given design. Mirrors are OK visual acuity/not great, but good enough for this purpose.

Nickofthenorth

7/23/2023

These have held on, straps still good etc. I’m not a fan of the poor quality magnification and vibration but so far it’s been the best option for hauling a 30’ trailer.

by:
2016 Ford Edge

I purchased the KS3990 Universal Dual Lens Clip-On pair of mirrors and found them to be easily installed on my 2016 F-150 Ford truck mirrors. The on-line help video for the 2016 F150 was helpful. They seem to be fairly well secured onto the existing mirrors, which are NOT actually rectangular in shape, as was portrayed in the video. In addition to the upper outside corners, the lower horizontal edge (towards road) has a slight upwards tapering effect. I have test driven the vehicle with the 26 ft. travel camper in tow and the mirrors seem to provide much improved visibility on both sides. We will be taking a weekend trip in the near future to confirm that these mirrors are completely adequate.

by:
2010 Nissan Frontier

I've had these mirrors for a year now. I have talked with other campers about thier mirriors. I think the ones i have are about the best you can get, for a removeable mirror. They take some getting used to. They go on and fasten easy, and they do no slip. I use the outter most connector slot, so if /when it cracks, you still have an inner slot to use. I would by the same mirrors again

by:
FordF-150

I have used the clip on mirrors for a year now. I use them on my 2022 F150 when pulling an RV trailer. The mirrors work great and provide greater visibility for monitoring traffic. The mirrors attach easily to my truck mirrors and hold tight. This was a good purchase.

by:
2018 Toyota Tacoma

These tow mirrors worked great on my 2018 Tacoma. I wouldn’t have been able to see around my trailer without them. I pulled a trailer about 2500 miles, over a two week period, often at highway speed & mirrors didn’t move a millimeter. I’m very pleased with them, easy to put on & take off. Didn’t scratch the paint on the factory Tacoma mirrors at all.

by:
Toyota Highlander

It attaches securely and works great. It takes a little patience and finesse to put on the Toyota Highlander. But given the shape of the vehicle mirror, this is probably as good a design as possible.

Michael

7/16/2023

After using the mirrors several times, they get easier and are quicker to install. I recommend them.

by:

Works great! As long as you can get them snug (takes some time) they are really stable. We had some issues getting it on a passenger-side mirror that had a lane camera on it, but they are adjustable enough we were able to work around it.

Chris

5/6/2023

Ive towed my popup over 2,000 miles using these mirrors. Still one of the best improvements to my towing setup. A little awkward to get mounted to the mirror on my Honda Pilot that has a camera, so I use use the drivers side mirror.

by:

Those mirrors are perfect on our Chevy Colorado. I've towed a T@B 400 trailer about 2500 miles now, they have not budged or left any marks on my mirrors. Once you get the hang of it, it's easy to attach to existing mirrors. When adjusted properly, you can see if there are vehicles following and are a big help with backing up.

by:

These tow mirrors worked great for my first time out with our travel trailer. They were easy to install and adjust before heading down the road. Once on the road, the mirrors do shake some, but I figured they would based on other reviews. It's not terrible, and you can still see what's behind and beside you. I would actually give these 4.5 stars because of the shaking. And it's really only the larger mirror of the two. The outer mirror is pretty stable. All in all, I like this product and would recommend them to anyone looking for nice tow mirrors that work well and are easy to install.

  • Best Towing Mirrors for a 2002 Toyota Tundra
The best towing mirror option for your 2002 Toyota Tundra is going to be a set of custom towing mirrors # CTM4000. These are designed specifically to fit the stock side mirrors on a 2002 Tundra but excludes the TX Edition. For a universal set of mirrors I recommend K-Source mirrors # KS3990. They will fit most mirrors 4-1/2" to 11-1/2" tall as long as there is a lip or gap between the stock mirror housing and the glass. I have linked videos on both mirror sets for you.

Flex-a-lite fan # FLX412 puts out 2,500 cubic feet per minute but draws much more power, 22 amps. The electric fans we sell are universal items so you have to go by the dimensions of the item and compare that to the available space in the vehicle's engine compartment.
