Will K-Source KS3990 Towing Mirrors Cause Factory 2017 Ford Expedition Mirrors to Fold In
Question:
How well do these mirrors hold up going 65- 70 mph on the highway? The problem I have with a pair that I had boughtdifferent brand is that when meeting truck traffic they will fold my factory mirrors in.

The K-Source # KS3990 universal towing mirrors are what I'd consider the best universal towing mirrors we offer, because of the ratcheting strap mechanism they use to attach to the factory mirror. This allows for a tight fit, which limits vibration from the mirrors attachment to the factory mirror. Movement from the factory mirror could be a different story.
These clip on mirrors measure about 7-1/2 inches wide x 5-1/8 inches tall, so they will catch some wind especially at higher highway speeds. If oncoming traffic caused your factory mirrors to fold, changing to a different brand of clip in mirror is unlikely to prevent this from occurring in the future, because the the clip on mirror won't have anything to do with how snug the hinged portion of the factory mirror is. If the hinge of your mirror is loose, it could fold from oncoming traffic regardless of what mirror you use.
