Towing Mirrors for a 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500

Question:

Thanks Michael for your help and I hope Im not being a pain. However I do have two more questions for you. First I do have power windows and door locks thats why I was asking about the chance of the wiring being there. Second my truck is not a diesel so will the towing mirrors that you recommended fit it as well?

If the stock mirrors on your truck do not have power features then you will not be able to add them. The truck lacks the wiring and other proper electrical equipment to support power mirrors. I wish I had better news for you.

Thank you for letting me know. It will keep me from buying the wrong product. Is there a chance that they prewired the truck? If not do you have manual towing mirrors for sale. If so can you send me a link to them?

In all my years here at etrailer I can remember 1 time that a truck did have the wiring present even though the truck did not have powered mirrors. So while there is a very slim chance that your truck could have that wiring history has shown that it is unlikely. But we do indeed have manual towing mirrors that will fit your truck. They are K-Source mirror set # KS62137-38G. I have linked a video review of them for you. Please note these mirrors are a fit on Duramax diesel models. Another option is to use universal towing mirror set # KS3990 which attach to the stock side mirrors on your truck. I have linked a video of these mirrors as well.

It's no trouble at all; that's what I'm here for. You can check but it would mean having to take one of your side mirrors off. To do that you will likely have to take the inside door panel off. I usually use YouTube to find videos showing the process since the replacement towing mirrors don't come with those specific instructions. If you see a connector that is not plugged into anything you could see if it has power using a circuit tester such as # PTW2993. However if none of the controls are present to electrically operate the light then that connector, powered or not, doesn't do you any good. The recommended mirrors, # KS62137-38G, will work with your gas engine model so no worries there.
