2018 Nissan Frontier - Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights

  • Removable Tail Light Kit
  • Bypasses Vehicle Wiring
  • Magnetic Mount
  • Universal
  • Roadmaster

Avoid tapping into your towed Nissan Frontier's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

Features:

  • Allows you to legally tow your car without having to tap into its wiring
  • Eliminates risk of electrical damage to towed car
  • Attaches securely with magnets
  • Connects directly to motor home wiring, bypassing towed vehicle completely
  • Has heavy-duty vinyl casing for superior protection of wiring
  • Meets Department of Transportation standards
  • Fits all vehicles
  • Includes 2 lights and wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector
  • Length of wire:
    • Wire that connects the lights: 53-1/2"
    • Wire that extends out the back of the light: 243"
    • Wire with 4-pole connector: 35-1/2"
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The law requires that all towed cars have functional signal and brake lights in sync with the RV towing them. Most wiring kits require you to splice into your vehicle's electrical system, but doing this can void your manufacturer's warranty. Magnetic tow lights avoid this problem by having the wiring run underneath your car and plug into your power source.

These lights have worked flawlessly for the whole 2023 camping season on my RV towed vehicle. I mount them on the rear of the roof so they are nice and high above bicycles on a hitch mounted rack.

by:

Extremely happy with the tow bar wiring. Not one problem for the year!

by:
Jeep

They were shipped fast and arrived quickly. These are quality lights with very strong magnets. I installed them on my Jeep in no time after making some steel brackets for the tubular aluminum bumper. Would be nice to have 5 or 6 magnetic clips to place along the wire to secure it to the vehicle. I highly recommend these lights.

Timely receipt. have not installed yet. but the instructions seem simple enough.

by:
2005 Subaru Forester

I like these lights, nice strong magets hold them securely to car roof. I use them because my bikes in bags cover my tail lights. I added LED bulbs because when I tow the car with my RV these additional lights put to much load causing voltage drop and dim lights.

These lights are still working well only improvement I could suggest is if they could somehow maybe put up plastic layer between the magnets and the roof because they’re taking paint off, if they could still make the magnet is strong.

Jeep Wrangler

I purchased the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs. initially I was Leary of the product because of its low price compared to other tow bars. I now can say my concerns were needless because after flat towing my Wrangler over 5,000 trouble-free miles I have nothing negative but only positives to report. The best thing I like about the tow At is that it only takes 5 minutes to attach and unhook.

by:

by:

Fast delivery. Did a test as soon as I received the light kit. Flawless. Magnets very strong but safe for car finish.

by:

Heavy duty magnets gave me the security of knowing they wouldn’t come off. Very easy to install!

by:

I did a mock-up set-up and this kit works as advertised.
Magnetic bases are strong, it should fit my needs perfectly.

by:

lights look fine....

easy hitch
is far better than I expected....very nice. I should have gotten this sooner!!!

by:

Very simple product. Exactly what I wanted. I need to do something more permanent but this worked for our trip. The most important thing was I needed it fast and I got it in time.
Friendly and informative people on the phone were knowledgeable and new their product. I will shop here again.

  • Base Plates, Tow Bar, Safety Cables, Wiring, and Braking to Flat Tow 2006 Volkswagen New Beetle TDI
In order to flat tow your 2006 Volkswagen Beetle TDI, you will first need to install base plates. The base plates for your vehicle are Roadmaster EZ Base Plates, # 521231-1. You would then need a compatible tow bar like RoadMaster Tracker Tow Bar, # RM-020, and Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnect Kit, # RM-201, to be able to remove the detachable arms on the base plates. I have included a link to the installation details for the tow bar for reference. To complete the towing set up for...

  • Which Blue Ox Base Plate kit Fits 2013 Cadillac SRX with Adaptive Cruise Control
The Blue Ox Base plate kit part # BX1690 that you referenced does fit both the models of the 2013 Cadillac SRX that have the adaptive cruise control or without it so it would work well for you. For a compatible tow bar and safety cables, one of the most popular options is the Avail, # BX7420. This tow bar has a 10,000 pound capacity which would be more than enough for your SRX. For lighting, there are several options. However, I know that the SRX does have LED tail lights and the wiring...

You will need to add the hitch ball, one of the size required by the coupler on your trailer. Check the coupler for a sticker or stamping in the housing that indicates the required ball size, either 2-inch # A-82 or 1-7/8-inch # A-80. • Base Plates, Tow Bar, Wiring, Safety Cables, Braking System to Flat Tow a 1995 Jeep Wrangler
To flat tow your 1995 jeep Wrangler, you will need to install base plates. There are two options for your Jeep. First are the Base Plates, # 1409-1, and second is # 1409-3. Most Renegades and Wranglers utilize a steel bumper that is U-shaped. It has a flat top and face, which the 1409-3 or 1409-1 brackets bolt to. But some versions have bumpers without a flat face and top which prevent the use of these brackets. In order to use the Tow Ready Tow Bar, # 63180, you will also need to use...

We do carry base plates for your 1999 Honda Accord. Take a look at the XL Base Plates, # 1545-1. These are the correct base plates for your vehicle. I also recommend safety cables and a light kit as required by law. For safety cables, I recommend the Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, # RM-643. For a temporary lighting solution, use the Magnetic Towing Light Kit, # RM-2120. These lights have a magnet that will stick to a flat metal surface and plug into a 4-flat on the tow vehicle. For...

Installation of the base plates may require trimming of the front fascia, grille, air dam, or spoiler on later models, but the tow bar should only make contact with the base plates and not the vehicle. I also recommend safety cables and a light kit as required by law. For safety cables, I recommend the Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables,...

  • Wiring an RV with Separate Brake and Turn Signals to a Chevy HHR with Combined Brake/Turn Signals
Probably the easiest solution is to first use a 6-Way to 4-Way adapter, like # PK12717, and plug the 6-Way side into the motor home. Next, add a light kit to plug into the 4-Way flat part of the adapter, like Magnetic Towing Light Kit, # RM-2120. Mount the lights on a metal surface on the HHR and you have lights for towing your HHR. Sometimes you just have to drop back and punt and that is what Roadmaster has done in this case. There is one way around it and that is to instead use a magnetic light kit such as # RM-2120.
