2016 Honda Pilot - Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights

  • Removable Tail Light Kit
  • Bypasses Vehicle Wiring
  • Magnetic Mount
  • Universal
  • Roadmaster

Avoid tapping into your towed Honda Pilot's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

Features:

  • Allows you to legally tow your car without having to tap into its wiring
  • Eliminates risk of electrical damage to towed car
  • Attaches securely with magnets
  • Connects directly to motor home wiring, bypassing towed vehicle completely
  • Has heavy-duty vinyl casing for superior protection of wiring
  • Meets Department of Transportation standards
  • Fits all vehicles
  • Includes 2 lights and wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector
  • Length of wire:
    • Wire that connects the lights: 53-1/2"
    • Wire that extends out the back of the light: 243"
    • Wire with 4-pole connector: 35-1/2"
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The law requires that all towed cars have functional signal and brake lights in sync with the RV towing them. Most wiring kits require you to splice into your vehicle's electrical system, but doing this can void your manufacturer's warranty. Magnetic tow lights avoid this problem by having the wiring run underneath your car and plug into your power source.

These lights have worked flawlessly for the whole 2023 camping season on my RV towed vehicle. I mount them on the rear of the roof so they are nice and high above bicycles on a hitch mounted rack.

by:

Extremely happy with the tow bar wiring. Not one problem for the year!

by:
Jeep

They were shipped fast and arrived quickly. These are quality lights with very strong magnets. I installed them on my Jeep in no time after making some steel brackets for the tubular aluminum bumper. Would be nice to have 5 or 6 magnetic clips to place along the wire to secure it to the vehicle. I highly recommend these lights.

Timely receipt. have not installed yet. but the instructions seem simple enough.

by:
2005 Subaru Forester

I like these lights, nice strong magets hold them securely to car roof. I use them because my bikes in bags cover my tail lights. I added LED bulbs because when I tow the car with my RV these additional lights put to much load causing voltage drop and dim lights.

These lights are still working well only improvement I could suggest is if they could somehow maybe put up plastic layer between the magnets and the roof because they’re taking paint off, if they could still make the magnet is strong.

Jeep Wrangler

I purchased the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs. initially I was Leary of the product because of its low price compared to other tow bars. I now can say my concerns were needless because after flat towing my Wrangler over 5,000 trouble-free miles I have nothing negative but only positives to report. The best thing I like about the tow At is that it only takes 5 minutes to attach and unhook.

by:

Heavy duty magnets gave me the security of knowing they wouldn’t come off. Very easy to install!

by:

I did a mock-up set-up and this kit works as advertised.

by:

by:

  • Using Magnetic Tow Lights on Tiffin Allegro Breeze Motorhome
Yes, you can use the Roadmaster Magnetic Tow Lights, # RM-2120 with a 2013 Tiffin Allegro Breeze Motorhome. These removable tow lights make it easy to add running lights, brake lights, and turn signals to your towed vehicle. As you will see in the attached video, when you install them, you decide which type of connector you will use and purchase the appropriate adapter. Once they are initally set-up, you can simply plug the connector into the 7-way on your 2013 Tiffin Allegro Breeze motorhome...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 1992 Geo Tracker Behind a Motor Home
I will be happy to help you out with your flat towing needs. The first thing you are going to want to do is consult the owners manual for your 1992 Geo Tracker. There should be information in the towing section or look for recreational towing in the index for more information on the specific procedure for your Tracker. The tow bar does not have a speed rating but the vehicle might. There are 5 items that will be needed to flat tow a vehicle: base plates, tow bar, safety cables, lighting,...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2018 Chevy Spark Behind a Motorhome
All of the base plates from other manufacturers, Roadmaster and Blue Ox, carry forward from the 2017 to the 2018 Chevy Spark so we can glean from that information that the Demco base plates # DM9519326 will also fit. Please note this fit is for models with a manual transmission and without active air shutters. For a compatible tow bar I recommend the Commander # DM9511012. This is a non-binding tow bar which means that you won't have to be perfectly straight or level to hook up or unhook...

  • Tow Bar Wiring Causes Lights Not to Work on 1992 Elite Motorhome and 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee
You are just going to need the proper wiring kit. It sounds like there are a combination of problems that are leading to the failures. There could be short and ground issues causing the lights not to work and the converter to blow. First, lets look at what is going on with the motor home. If it has a trailer connector on it you will want to test it using a circuit tester such as # PTW2991. I have included a link to a help article that explains how to test it. If some of the circuits are...

  • Base Plate Recommendation for a 2001 Ford F-350 Super Duty
The base plate kit for your 2001 Ford F-350 is the Blue Ox, part # BX2163. This kit will install in place of your truck's tow hooks. I also recommend using the Blue Ox Avail # BX7420 because with a truck that heavy you need a tow bar that can handle its weight and is compatible with the base plate kit without using adapters. For tow bars I would recommend that you get RoadMaster Sterling Tow Bar with 6-Wire Electric Cord, part # RM-576. For a temporary lighting solution I would recommend...

If that is what you are looking to do this would work perfectly for you. The overall length of this product is 32 inches, from the outside of the bolt holes this product measures 25-1/2 inches. With the RoadMaster Tracker Tow Bar, item # RM-020, the RoadMaster Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, item # RM-643 would be a good choice and will wrap around the tow bar to eliminate dragging. • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2014 Nissan Versa Note Behind an RV
When on a tow dolly the vehicle steering wheel should be locked so its wheels cannot turn. The dolly likely has a steering lock out or pin on it that you would have to remove or disengage so that the dolly can pivot while the vehicle is on it. That is probably why you had problems using the tow dolly. When flat towing the steering wheel has to be unlocked because that allows the tires to turn when the RV turns. The base plates and tow bar can more than handle the forces that allow this...

I checked the owner's manual online for a 2012 Chevy Equinox with All-wheel drive and you can flat tow it behind a motor home. Take a look at the recreational towing section (10-78) in the owner's manual to confirm. As far as a rear towing package I assume that you mean a trailer hitch. The trailer hitches that fit a 2012 Equinox will actually fit 2005 to 2016 Equinox models; such as Curt Class III hitch # 13591. I recommend looking in the recreational towing section of the Jeep owner's manual to confirm. This information is for the Cherokee, not the Grand Cherokee. If the Cherokee is a Latitude or Limited model I recommend Roadmaster base plates # RM-521447-4. If it is a Trailhawk model I recommend # RM-521446-4. The difference between the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5 and Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-4 is how tow bars attach. As the name suggests, you will connect your tow bar straight to the direct-connect base plates while the crossbar style will require you use your tow bar's crossbar or quick-disconnect.
