It's designed for trucking and transportation. Like to tie down loads on over the road equipment.It is not designed for overhead lifting. The hook is designed so a chain will catch it and not slide through it.The 3/8" hook has a working load limit of 6,600 pounds and this has a plain finish to it.A few dimensions on this. The overall width of it at the widest point, it's right at 2.5". These hooks are great; good price, great quality, and as always, the best service and delivery from etrailer.com. I have been a customer for years, and have never been disappointed.
Weld on areas are not flat and will need to be ground down. The packaging was not adequate enough for the product and arrived torn open. Surprised everything was delivered.
Was as advertised and shipped on time. What more can you ask for.
Worked great for welding onto the bucket of tractor.
