2015 Ford F-150
Hello, I purchased the 2015 Ford F-150 Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate and followed the directions. Everything worked correctly until I reached Step 11 - Reattach your factory tailgate cables to your new 100 Series tailgate.. The nuts are built into the tailgate. You need to either include (2) 1/2-inch nuts or state in the documentation the customer must purchase (2) 1/2-inch nuts to complete Step 11.
I attached a picture showing the Ford tailgate and cable and the finished install. The install went faster than expected less than 30 minutes and looks great on my truck.

2018 Ford F-350 Super Duty
It took me 15 minutes to install. Fits snugly with no rattle. It did not include the open tailgate support cables, so if you don’t have them you’ll needs some. This tailgate goes on and off so easy it could easily disappear in the night. It needs some kind of security system.

2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty
Easy to install. After a year the finish is still flawless. We broke a latch, it didn't win the fight with the 5th wheel hitch. Was super easy and fast to get replacement. Would buy again from etrailer.

The tailgate fit very good. I would like for it to have been made from a heavier gauged steel. It has not held up well to being stepped on to get in the bed of the truck. I know it was not made for that purpose but I expected a more durable product. It looks good and the paint has held up pretty good also. Overall I am happy with the tailgate.

Said it was supposed to fit!!! Had to drill holes to slide the latch to make it latch! Called for help, couldn’t help, told me to call stongberg Carlson… They were closed, so just fixed myself. This has been the only problem I’ve had with etailer so otherwise great!

Replaced an identical gate in service for 10 years. Product arrives somewhat beaten up from marginal packaging and needs to be sealed from water and the nicks repainted. If done carefully it will not rust. Lack of directions surprising. Fits well and looks good.

Good product, had to do a little modification to get it to fit perfectly, where attaches to left bottom was about 1/4 of an inch too long, fixed that and perfect fit!!On a 2020 f 250 ,needs to be that much shorter for a great fit

- Availability of Aluminum 5th Wheel Tailgate for 2018 Ford F-450My technical contact at Stromberg Carlson advised that they are currently in the process of testing 5th wheel tailgate fits for the 2018 Ford Super-Duty pickups, including the F-450. The best information they can give at this time is that existing 100 Series (steel) 5th Wheel Tailgate # VG-15-100 is expected to be a fit but they have not completed testing yet.

All is well with my tailgate. It is so easy to install and remove that it would be easily stolen. I use a lock and cable to secure it to the truck. Your company could maybe offer a way of securing the tailgate to your customers.
