Go Tankless or Go Home

Tankless Water Heater

Say goodbye to quick, military-style showers, refilling your tank, and waiting for the hot water to recover. This revolutionary design replaces your outdated tank heater and gives you the luxury of taking back-to-back showers, washing dishes, and running a load of laundry all at once. Unlike traditional tank heaters that require constant energy to keep your water hot, this tankless, propane-fueled water heater only uses energy when you turn on your faucet or shower, providing the ultimate efficiency at a campground or off-the-grid. The endless, on-demand hot water has no recovery time and is perfect if you're on the road full-time or traveling with a large group.

Relaxing Showers without Scalding or Freezing

Vortex Pic

Has your warm and relaxing shower ever been interrupted by a cruel burst of ice-cold water? Perhaps you've been the victim of a scorching surge of hot water that scalds you and sends you dancing out of harm's way. Either way, it's the worst, but those days are over. Furrion's vortex technology is designed to eliminate those dreaded hot and cold water fluctuations by consistently mixing hot and cold water together to reach your desired temperature, ensuring those warm, comfortable showers.

Safety First

This state-of-the-art technology is equipped with built-in safety measures to ensure you, your family, and your RV stay out of harm's way.

Its dual temperature sensors automatically shut off power if the water temperature exceeds 149 F, preventing the unit from overheating while also reducing the risk of hot water scalding. The unit also has a flame monitoring feature that cuts off the gas supply if the flame goes out to prevent gas from leaking inside your RV and a built-in safety valve that allows pressure to vent at 87 psi to prevent excess pressure and heat build-up.

Anti-Freeze Control Board

This tankless water heater features a control board to keep itself warm when temperatures drop. Freezing water can damage the unit, so an internal thermostat monitors water temperature and will turn the heat on automatically when it gets too cold. This feature will only work if the water heater is receiving power and gas. You will need to remember to winterize the water heater before storage over the winter.

This unit is amazing, the water become hot in few second. really quiet and easy to install. Be carefull that you have enough water pressure and flow when using with water pump. Open the hot water side and add cold water without reducing the hot side otherwize the unit may shutdown. Instead, lower the unit target temperature and add less cold water. I'm really happy with this unit. Compared to the smaller unit like the Fogatti, this one suit well for cold input water. Fogatti sell their unit showing 2.2 GPM however this is true for input water temperature around 70 deg F, here in Canada our water temperature is more around 30 deg F. I have tested this Furrion unit with a shower and two faucet and I never lack hot water. I really appreciated the fact that three door size is available. I retrofited my Atwood 6gal with this unit using the 16x18 door. Everything worked well. I painted the door and door frame to match as close as possible my RV color.

by:

We went with the Furion unit when we learned that parts were no longer available for our 20 yr. old Fleetwood. No RV repair shops will work on older models these days so I had to do the installation myself.
We are extremely happy with the quality and unlimited supply of hot water which is unheard of with traditional rv hot water tanks.

by:

We have plenty of hot water. As we do a lot of dishes, long showers. Very happy with this product.

When I placed my order I was told there was 1 in stock and my sales rep confirmed with the warehouse that yes there’s 1.
I was notified later that delivery was going to be delayed since “the 1” was sold and we had to wait for the next shipment… it happens but it sucked.
When it arrived the box had a gouge in it. No damage to the unit. Installation was easy. Made a simple grid base to raise the new unit to the height I needed. I previously upgraded my camper with PEX, so a few new fittings and it was up and running. Since purchasing, the unit has operated flawlessly. I won’t go back to a “tank” heater.
ETRAILER.com had a good price and they did deliver in a reasonable amount of time.
Will buy Furrion and will shop etrailer.com

by:

It is nice to hav hot water on demand and not having to worry about running out when you are taking a shower. Don’t have to worry about a water heater tank leaking.

by:

Great water heater! Etrailer did a fantastic job when the first unit I ordered was defective. They got a new one to me in a timely way.

After a year this has been a great water heater. It has a little delay that you have to get used to. The advantages out weigh the adjustment.

by:

Great help and fast delivery! Hard to beat ordering from etrailer.com! Thank you!

by:

Great product and Neil at Etrailer provided excellent service! This company always provides quality products and customer service.

by:

Of all the upgrades we have made to out fifth wheel Rv ( grand design reflection) this is by far the best. Installed this tankless water myself in just a couple of hours, in fact it took me longer to determine where I wanted to mount the controller than it took

me to install the water heater. I did have one leak after install but took care of that really easy. I would definitely recommend a tankless water heater especially the furrion. Not familiar with others but this one is excellent.

by:

We decided to go tankless when our atwood began leaking. Installing this unit was straight forward, although I did get hung up on the swap from 110 to 12v. After looking at installation docs for the old water heater, I discovered that the propane/electric selector switch in my bathroom branched off of the 12v system, and wired directly into the control system of the old unit. The heating element was the only component actually using 110. I ended up wiring this unit into the propane selector switch. This gives me a quick way to kill power if needed. Other than this hiccup, installation was easy. It is working like charm, and we are enjoying normal shower times again.

by:

Smaller than the Atwood 6 gallon that it replaced and way more hot water. Not to difficult to install.

by:

This thing works awesome!!! Heats up quickly, it's quiet...I really am happy I put this in. Install was easy!

by:

The unit was pretty easy to install. It has worked flawlessly for us. It is a joy not to worry about running out of hot water.

by:

Very fast shipping got exactly what I needed and got it installed in 1 day

by:

Easy installation. Good instructions. Works flawlessly for me.

by:

Works great just take a few minutes longer to get hot water but I don’t run out of hot water now.

by:

So glad we added this to our travel trailer! Works great! We're setup in a permanent space, so we get endless showers with this. Well worth the money spent. Thank you!

by:

Quick shipping and one-time. Easy set-up but be careful about freezing temps. Works great.

by:

Fast delivery, great product.

by:

Absolutely amazing! Great instructions, took about 3 hours with a few retrofits for water and gas lines. Well designed in every way and HOT water, BOOM! Love it, L

by:

At this point I have nothing positive to say about this company or their products.

by:

I have had this unit for a year, it was easy to install and has performed trouble free ever since, thanks for your follow up

by:

Works flawlessly. Installation was a br eeze.

by:

Wow, shipped early

Works great. Was easy to install.

  • Recommended Replacement For An Atwood GCH10A-4E RV Water Heater
I still recommend the Furrion water heater but you may need to choose a different door size with it to fully cover your current cutout hole. The specs I'm seeing for the Atwood GCH10A-4E show it being 16" W x 15.5" T so you could possibly get away with using the # FR98SR, which comes 16" x 16" door. I recommend double checking with your tape measure and if you feel it won't fully cover the gap or maybe the old door stuck out just a bit further and you don't want to have a wear line showing...

  • Replacement Water Heater For Atwood 96121 Water Heater
The Atwood 96121, our part number # AT96121 is no longer available from the manufacturer, however I do have another solution. The Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR is listed as a direct replacement for the Atwood 96121 water heater, and measures 2-5/8" wide, 12-5/8" tall, and 19-1/4" deep. This is a tankless water heater that produces up to 144 gallons of hot water per hour, and will provide endless hot water on demand.

  • Foggati Tankless Water Heater Recommendation to Replace Atwood G6A-7 Water Heater
The Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR you referenced is more of their base design, and they have a variety of options available for different opening sizes. Since you have a 16"+ opening I recommend using either part # FR48SR which comes with a 16" x 18" door, or part # FR68SR which comes with an 18" x 18" door. These are the same heater that you were looking at, just with different door sizes.

  • Recommended Replacement For An Atwood G6A-8E RV Water Heater
Since Atwood is no longer in business and all newer water heater models have transitioned to a smaller cutout you're not going to be able to reuse your current door and will have to make modifications to the cutout hole in order to mount a new unit. Since everything will be covered by a new access door it doesn't have to be pretty but you will need to frame in a new space within your current cutout hole for a new unit to mount onto. I recommend going with the Furrion RV Tankless Water...

  • Recommended Tankless Water Heater to Replace a Atwood GC6AA-7
Yes, there is. It is the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater item # FR48SR which is gas only. This tankless hot water heater measures 12-5/8L x 12-13/16W x 19-3/16D so it should fit right into your existing cutout with little to no modifications needed. This is also available in black item # LSB44FR.

  • Recommended Replacement For An Atwood MPD 93756 RV Water Heater
Atwood unfortunately went out of business some time ago so you'll be looking at modifications to your gas and water line placement and possibly to your cutout hole as well. You might be able to find a replacement tank, but you'd likely be buying it secondhand. From what I can find on the Atwood MPD 93756 it's 12.5" tall x 16" wide so you'd most likely have to frame in the width a bit to mount a new water heater since as time goes on they keep getting smaller. Everyone is going tankless...

The # FR48SR requires a cut out of at least 12-3/4", a height of at least 12-5/8" and a depth of at least 23-1/2" so you do need to find the actual depth to ensure a fit. If the temperature just drops to below freezing overnight though this would not damage the unit. If the water heater is indoors in the cabin there shouldn't be any issue keeping it above 32 degrees.

Because the Excel RV Tankless Water Heater # EX93FR uses propane it's not a great idea to use it in a small room like the bedroom or bathroom in the event that there was a gas leak. With these rooms being typically being smaller there's not going to be enough oxygen to dissipate the gas in the event of a leak.
