Adam: Hi, everyone. Adam, with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima BedRock HD roof rack system on our 2019 Chevrolet Suburban. So these aluminum bars are going to have a 500 pound weight capacity. And these are the 60 inch version that we do have. We have longer and shorter ones available.
So pick whatever one is going to fit you best. But with 60 inches, we're going to have a lot of room to put a bunch of different accessories. We have a lot of different cargo baskets we can throw on here, kayak or canoe carriers, even a couple of bike racks. So this is going to have a nice powder coated finish. So it's going to be looking pretty good for quite a long time. Another really good feature about this roof rack is we don't really have to remove these caps to put in the T-track accessories on.
It leaves that gap up top, so all we really need to do is just trim this rubber piece here just to make room for those accessories. Also, we do have some tie-down points, so we don't have to worry about finding spot to tie your cargo down. And if you want a little bit of added comfort whenever you're traveling, we do have some locking cores. They are sold separately, but you can pick those up here at etrailer.com.So these feet are going to protect your factory rails from any scratches or abrasions, which is always going to be nice. And on top of that, we can actually keep these things on when we don't have any rails installed. It's pretty low profile and gives it kind of a good edgy look.
So you don't have to worry about any water puddling up inside of there whenever you're you don't have any rails installed. But it really is that easy to put these things into place. And we do have multiple different options when mounting our feet and our roof rack to our Suburban. As you can see, we do have two other sets back here. So if you wanted to throw a third bar on or even have two roof racks up here, as long as you're not going over that weight limit in your owner's manual, you should be good. A lot of the times people have three different bars to put big old tents on the top of this thing, which would be really, really cool whenever you're going camping. So a lot of customers are wondering how much distance are in between our bar and our roof.
So from the bottom of our bar to the roof is going to be about four and a quarter inches. And to the very top of the bar is going to be about five and three quarter inches. So now that I've gone over some of those features with you guys, let's just go ahead and install them together. So the first thing we want to do is assemble our foot pack, and we're going to take our plastic insert here, and you're going to hear it snap into place. Once we do that, we can put this T-track on there. We're going to get it on that little bolt here. We'll try to get it in there. Here, we're going to take our tool and tighten it down. You might have to maneuver this around a little bit to get that visible, tying it down a little bit, just to get it threaded, just so it doesn't fall out because we are going to need that little gap here to get it onto our bars. So to do this, we are going to have to take off a cap. I'm only going to take off one because we can just use that and slide both of them on.It's going to be one little bolt here. I might have to flip it over to get that bolt out. And notice how on the bottom, we don't have a little gap here, so just be mindful. The one on top, it was going to have a gap and that's going to be a four T-tracks. So, just so you put it on correctly, just notice how that goes on. So I'm only going to take off one cap.So I do want to get this cap facing the other side of the bar. I'm just going to get started and slide it all the way down. Then we can go ahead and get our other one, and face this out. Put that on, and make sure that's facing the top part of our bar, and replace the bolt, tighten it down.So to put our mounts on our rails, what we want to do is just get the side with the holes and just line them up. And we will use our hardware that comes with our kit. Just thread those in, and we will have a tool that comes with it as well, that we can do all the rest with. Now that we have those in place, we can go ahead and get our bars in place. So as you can see here, we're not going to be able to get this thing to fit into this foot because this cap on the end is going to pull these in. So watch as I open this up, they go in like so. This is going to make it perfect to fit in there like so, clamp those down. And we're going to go ahead and do our measurements, make sure they're nice and even, and then go in and tighten them down.So now that we've got them nice and even, we're going to go ahead and tighten that bolt up. Once you get that nice and tight, all we really need to do is fold this up, click it into place, and that's going to lock this into this foot. And then you can do the same exact thing on the other side. Well, everyone, thanks for tuning in and taking a look at the Yakima BedRock HD roof rack system on our 2019 Chevrolet Suburban..

Heavy-duty crossbars mount to Yakima towers to create an aftermarket roof rack. Top and bottom channels let you add channel-mount accessories. Tie-down points in endcaps let you easily secure cargo.etrailer was a great place to order, quick and easy. Yakima products however are over priced and overly complicated.
I have been a loyal customer of e-trailer for several years, having purchased multiple items in the past with satisfactory results. Unfortunately, this recent purchase has been a disappointing experience.
I ordered a cross-bar kit for my 2023 Honda Pilot, specifically this kit: which is supposed to be compatible with my vehicle.
Upon receiving my order, I noticed that the crossbar box indicated the need for the "HD Bar SL adapter" when used with the Timberline Towers. However, this essential part was not included in the order, rendering the crossbar kit unusable for my vehicle due to the missing parts.
After calling customer service on two separate occasions, they have not been able to acknowledge that the kit should have included the required parts and therefore have not resolved their error by shipping the required parts. I will be returning the entire order and will take my business elsewhere.
Really Easy to Install! Solid and Strong amount to Roof Rack.
These adapters were easy to install and made my system fit together nicely.
Great product, as are all Yakima products,in my opinion. These are on a Yakima system installed on my Diamond Back tonneau cover. Very pleased with them
We purchased the rack 5 weeks in advance of our up and coming trip. (Rack is amazing FYI). However, The website states free shipping over a certain amount. Weeks went by with notifications nothing was sent and the order kept being pushed back.
Once I called I was told those who chose to purchase shipping vs opting for the free shipping got their orders firsts; everyone else fell to the bottom. After waiting a month for “free shipping” I opted to have paid shipping and I received the rack within days.
While this company has many products I could use, I refuse to use them again because what is advertised is NOT what they ethically hold themselves accountable too.
I had a difficult time identifying whether these were the correct adapters for the rack towers that I was purchasing to fit my tracks but that has more to do with yakima doing everything a-la-cart instead of having kits that include everything you need if I hadn't already had the HD bars on my other rack and wanted to be able to transfer them to this rack I probably wouldn't have went to this expense because I think they are overpriced.AS far as etrailer is concerned I always receive great service and products and they are always well packaged and never damaged by poor delivery care and always fast delivery speed.
Yakima OverHaul HD is built tough, sturdy, light but heave duty, well designed, easy to install and remove by leaving the locking base on the track. The height can be adjusted easily to a desired height to fit just right. The "bonus" is a beer bottle opener on each rail :)
Customer service at etrailer is excellent! Always responsive, immediately reply to help with any questions. Tayler K. was my sales representative, she's been super!
Your service is nothing short of excellent! Thank you
While putting the roof racks together, one needs to pay close attention to the detailed instructions; but, so far, the equipment is working well with a good fit on my Toyota highlander—I’ve traveled some 1000 miles so far.
Great product and even better was the service with etrailer! These guys make it happen and delivery was super fast. Thanks for a fantastic experience, will be a return customer.

The Yakima products are doing great. Just got home yesterday from a 18 day trip using them in Michigan's upper peninsula. Love them. Great products. Thanks again.

These are some heavy duty crossbars.
Owned several surfboard racks in 45 years and these are by far the best.
Great tie downs also.
Required for Yakima HD crossbars using timberland tower system.
Great company. Fast delivery.
Great product. Great service.
The roof rack works well. The only problem I have is noise and while I'm carrying a ladder there is none. I figured if I take the ladder off I'll split a piece of pvc pipe and mount that on the front of it. But they work well for what I needed for work. The service from etrailer was excellant. I dealt with Carol and she did a very good job in helping me.
I choose etrailer simply because they mailed to APO. I’m a AD SM, and a lot of companies don’t shop to APO. As soon as I ordered my product, I received an email as a courtesy from etrailer letting me know I had an individual that would be tracking my product every step of the way, reassuring a smooth process. Their site functionality was easy, their customer service was great. I wanted to know if they had bike racks that would fit my cross bars, I got a email right away with a suggestion and a link that would fit my needs. I’ll definitely order from etrailer if I ever need to again.
Worked great
The fit is good on the 22 Wilderness but there is definitely wind noise and I will add a diverter soon.
This part adapted like no other adapter
These Yakima HD SL adapters are necessary to connect HD crossbars with Skyline Towers. This style is somewhat difficult to locate but Etrailer had them in stock, no waiting.
Have worked quite well for what we need. Very happy.
SIMPLE & EASY!
