Speaker 1: Today is our 2017 Buick Envision. We're going to be test fitting Yakima round bar roof rack system, consisting of the round cross bars for the roof rack system, the sky line towers for the Yakima cross bars, the adapter kit to have round bars fit onto the skyline towers, and finally the landing pads which attaches to your pre-existing points on your flush side mounts.The Yakima round bar roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof, or freeing up space inside your vehicle. This can carry bike racks, cargo baskets, and kayak carriers. The bars have a combined carrying capacity of 165 pounds, although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual, to make sure your roof can handle those weights. These do mount to fixed points, so you don't have to worry about measuring out for cross bar spreads. And once you remove the bars themselves, they do come with end caps so you don't have to remove the landing pads and they're ready for your use next time.At the ends of each of our towers, we do have these removable caps which you can replace with the Yakima same key system.
You can do this to match up with whatever it is you're putting on your roof, so everything can be keyed alike. Now that we've gone over some of the features of the roof rack system, let's go ahead and show you how it installs. We have all of our parts laid out here on our table. We have the bar and our one side already assembled. Here we have our skyline tower.
You want to make sure that it stays in the open position. Here's our adapter kit for our round bars.We'll take this plastic piece here and push that into place, till you hear a click onto our tower. Then we'll take our round adapter part and we'll install that into our screw. We'll come to the underneath with our tightening tool, just get it started. And then we'll slide it onto the other end of our bar.
Once it's on there, we'll tighten it down the rest of the way. You want to do this until you hear a few audible clicks from our tool.Coming to our landing bed here, we're going to get this ready to be installed on our vehicle as well. You'll see the several holes it has to fit various attachment points. We'll turn it to the inside here, take this rubber pad and then push fits into place with our points on the landing pad itself. Then we'll take our two screws, and our washers, put those on.
And now we can proceed to the vehicle. Then we'll take our pad. We'll start attaching our first screw. Get them both finger tight. Then we'll take our included tightening tool, snug it down the rest of the way. It's nice and secure. Then we'll take off our cover here, or cap for our landing pad.Now we can grab our bar and set it in place as well. Take it, set it in place on the other side, and just fit right into those landing pads. There we go. We'll do the same on this side, noting how they fit in there. There we go. Now we'll make sure that the cross bar overhang, how much of our bar is hanging out here is even on both sides, and then we can tighten down the screw in the center here, and secure it to our roof. Tighten it down until we hear those audible clicks again. All right. Now we can close up our end here. And now it's secure into our landing pad. Now we're ready to load up our gear and hit the road.And now you have it for the Yakima round bar roof rack system on our 2017 Buick Envision.

Everything from etrailer is timely and of good quality! The Yakima crossbars are no exception - they are indestructible.
These convertors will allow me to continue to use my hullavator system currently on round bars. The drop in feature of skyline towers makes the whole change out a snap. Certainly better than buying a whole new hullavator.
Works well, after getting them in place. On my Kia Sorrento it's very tricky to get the towers to fit the holes in the factory rails -- takes a lot of loosening and readjusting the bars.
Works perfectly. I am always impressed that Yakima continues to make parts for the "old roundbars" since they have since moved on to the superior JetStream bars.

I ordered the Yakima roof rack, with the Hullyrollers for the back crossbar and the Mako saddles for the front crossbar to use with my kayak. It arrived just like they told me and I put them on my car the eveningit arrived. Got to finlly use the roof rack on June 22 to go out kayaking and it worked great. Only thing is I did not know about the air reflector piece for the front crossbar. Now I will be ordering it to help with the wind noise.
Great rack, go on fast, easy to install and work well on my VW TDI wagon. Care has to be given and follow the instructions for the install to what type of rails you have. Works great carrying the VW luggage carrier and plan on using it to carry kayaks as well. Just have not decided what kayak rack type to get yet.
I've attachec a few pictures of the Yakima rack on my Audi Q7. It took a few attempts to find the right combination of attachments, but in the end, the pin attachments work best with the access points on the factory flush-mount rails. Great product!!!!!

roof racks showed up in great condition, and showed up as one package.... I should have ordered the J racks from here but I found them cheaper locally so Thule J racks compliment the whole setup and i am just about ready to hit the water :)
The installation of this rack system went very well, all of the instructions were easy to read and use. I have attached some pictures of our installation. The vehicle is a 1994 Honda Accord EX four door sedan
Roof Rack 2008 Saturn Astra The roof rack arrived one day early...The packaging was excellent and the quality of the product more than met my expectations. The instructions made the insulation very easy. It took less than 45 minutes to install the unit complete.

Have been rocking my Yakima rack from etrailer.com for a year now. I am using rack in conjunction with a Tepui tent. Once I added the air deflector, I would say it's the perfect setup. The Yakima gives more clearance over the factory rack, so I was able to get my hands under it to secure the tent hardware. If you're thinking of upgrading your factory rack, I would not hesitate to use etrailer.com
The Yakima roof rack system is an Outstanding product. I purchased the product to replace the OEM roof rack because it was too flimsy to carry the tandem bike mount and my bike. The Yakima roof rack is solid and provides me the peace of mind while hauling my bike on the roof of my car. etrailer provided the product for the best price as always.
I have been using Yakima racks for around 40 years and have never had any problems. However, I am amazed at the price increases over the years. Etrailer prices were by far lower than most. Overall, a very excellent purchase.

Bought as a pkg for my 2017 Golf R with Round Bars since I had a bunch of Yakima bike racks and a canoe gunwale rack for my old Yakima set up. Installation was easy with good instructions. All measurements from the Yakima site appear to be spot on.
