If you already have Yakima Round Bars like the # Y00408, the parts you need to attach the crossbars to the tracks are 4 of the Replacement Yakima Control Tower for Factory-installed Tracks # Y8890027 and 2 sets of the Landing Pad 1 for Yakima SkyLine and Control Towers # Y00221.
For the tracks themselves, they come in 3 different sizes:
- Yakima 42" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01126
- Yakima 54" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y26RR
- Yakima 60" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01135
Since most truck toppers are fiberglass, you will be OK with the hardware that comes standard with these tracks. It is important to note that the 42-inch # Y01126 comes with hardware designed for metal applications. If you decide to go with the # Y01126, I recommend purchasing the CapNut Hardware # Y8810155. If you happen to have a metal topper and wish to use the 54" and 60" tracks, you need the PlusNut Hardware # Y8880039.
To decide which length of tracks to purchase, it truly depends on the length of your topper. I recommend measuring the length of the topper to get an idea of what length tracks work best for you.
