Parts Needed to Adapt Yakima Round Bar Roof Rack to 2014 GMC Acadia with Raised Side Rails

Question:

I have a Yakima railgrab towers that I used on a different vehicle. I now have a 2014 GMC Acadia. SLT 2. What claw would I use to make it fit with the factory rails on my Acadia? We currently have a small claw. Also, we can make it fit, but the railgrab system has a curved look. Like they fit a curved rail. The Acadia has a more square look. The curved railgrab doesn’t look right on a square rail. When it’s tightened down, it pushes the railgrab “up”. And it doesn’t feel “tight”.

The Yakima round bar roof rack confirmed to fit the raised roof side rails of your 2014 GMC Acadia is made of parts # Y00408, # Y03536 and # Y00147. The Acadia requires the Timberline Towers, part # Y33TR, since there is no way to adapt the RailGrab setup to this vehicle.

Since you already have round Yakima crossbars you can simply order the other two parts above, items # Y03536 and # Y33TR, to let you continue to use those 48-inch or longer round Yakima crossbars. An install video showing an Acadia is linked for reference.
