Today on our 2015 Acura TLX, well be taking a look at the Inno Roof Rack System. This is going to consist of the Inno Arrow Crossbars, part number INXB1082. The Inno Flush Feet for Arrow Crossbars, part number INXS200, and the Custom Fit Kit for the Flush Feet, part number INK668. The Inno Arrow Crossbars are a low-profile crossbar, which is going to have an aerodynamic design, which will reduce wind noise and drag. Its going to have the integrated T-slots at the top that will easily allow you to slide channel-mounted carriers and accessories onto the bars. These will also work with clamp-on accessories. The rubber strips in the top are going to help to keep out dirt and debris.
It will also allow you to press down and slide in your channel-mounted accessories without any trimming required. Any portion of this kit that touches your vehicle will have a rubber coating, which is going to help to prevent any scratches or abrasions from our crossbows onto our vehicle. Keep in mind that these bars have a 165-pound weight capacity, but you do want to check your vehicles owners manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight. The whole installation process is quick and easy. Well show you how to do that now. Now here we have all of our parts laid out to begin our install.
We've already got our foot pack here that's going to go onto crossbar. All the included tools that youll need to secure our foot pack and our clamps to our vehicle. Weve got our Fit Kit here, including our pad thats going to go on the bottom in the clamp. Weve got this piece that is going to insert into our crossbar, and our foot pack's going to secure to that. Weve got our included keys, and then we have to provide our own flat tape measure of some sort. Were going to start our install by removing this bolt here, taking our clamp, placing it over the top.
Reinserting our bolt just enough so that it holds our clamp into place. Then, well flip our foot pack over and place on the rubber bottom. For our crossbar, were going to take this bracket, were going to fit it up underneath and slide this all the way in. Pushing down on this button, and sliding back. With all that in place, were going to take our foot pack and were going to set it so that this wedge inserts into this hole here.
Were just going to pull that foot pack back until it secures into place. Then, we'll take the larger of our two including tools, and theres going to be a bolt down here. Were just going to use our tool and tighten that down. With that tightened down, we can open up our doors. Now, well just make sure that our crossbar is sitting about even on each side. Then we can take our measurements. Now for our placement measurement here at the back crossbar, were going to measure from the inside of the door jamb here to the center of the back clamp. You'll have all the measurements for this vehicle in your instructions. Now, well start to tighten down our clamps. Well use our included torque tool, and well just start to tighten this down so that our clamp sits up against our door jamb. Now, were going to go back-and-forth to each side, tightening it down evenly. We want to wait until we hear two clicks from our included tool. This is going to tell us that we have enough torque behind our bolt, so you dont have to worry about that coming loose. Now we can grab our end caps and lock those into place. We'll place these on, and take those included keys and lock them down. With those locked into place, we can grab any of our roof-mounted accessories, load those up, and were ready to hit the road. Thats going to be our completed look at the Inno Roof Rack Kit for our 2015 Acura TLX.

Low-profile, aerodynamic crossbars create an aftermarket roof rack for your vehicle. Aluminum bars have T-slots that let you mount channel-mounted carriers and accessories. Flexible rubber strips in T-slots keep out dirt and won't need trimming.Waste of money. Most annoying couple hours spent in a long time. Extremely disappointed. Does not fit well. Not exactly a cheap option, but a cheap option in terms of fit and engineering. The instructions online and in the kits do not agree. But there is no helping the design. Plus there are no universal set of instructions--they are all individual items for the fit kit, the bars, etc. But a reasonably inclined person can figure it out so no big deal, but the engineering design is garbage--requires precise measurement yet the design is such that exact measurement is impossible due to the design.
Additionally, the parts are low quality Either low density plastic or easily stripped bolts. Even when as precise as possible, I wouldn't trust it with my kayak. What a mistake. Do yourself a favor and get a Yakima trailer or similar. It isn't that much more money in the scheme of things and then it isn't tied to your car. Can add a hitch to most vehicles anyway.
Very nice quality, made in Japan. Easy to install using the Inno XS150 base stays. The 51" was a nice size for my 2015 Touareg. Many of the manufacturers recomment wider (53-54"), but I like the narrower profile. Unfortunately, the Aero design still creates a slight bit of wind noise at highway speeds, and it gets worse if the sunroof is raised (vent). I like the soft rubber T-channel material which allows the accessories to mount without cutting the material. I also like the slightly arched shape.
I just received and instilled my rack system. Time will tell, but my initial reaction is that of disappointment with the quality of the system, considering what I spent. The cross bars seem to be plastic, and the end caps on the cross bars seem to be plastic and covered with a faux metal chrome. I am curious to see how well this system holds up to the hot Florida sun. The positive is that I like the general shape of the aero crossbars, and they are relatively quiet when I am driving.
Sleek rack thanks to the etrailer consu ltants
Racks were perfect for my Acura MDX. They fit like a glove and I have used them several times.
Has worked great for transporting my fishing Kayak as well as small loads of lumber. It has worked fine for about a dozen and a half boards at a time or a couple of sheets of plywood. Just make sure that you have a good way to strap them down as well as maybe a rubber mat to help hold everything in place. The noise from it on the high way can be a lot but certainly not as bad as some that I have heard. I figure that anything on the outside of a vehicle like that will produce some noise.
I upgraded to these Aero Crossbars hoping it would mean a quieter drive with less wind noise. I am so glad I did. There is not noise at all with these bars. I use them with my roof cargo carrier and I don't even notice it is there. These bars are even strong enough to haul my canoe. I am very pleased with them.
worked as expected, I used them to carry my hobie outback kayak (about 100lbs) on my Honda Civic 2016 Coupe (2 doors). They worked with no problem so far (1 year) even under high speed like 70mph.
These fit the car along with the other Inno items perfectly. They are very secure when combined with the other Inno products. No worries of the rack system coming off. Using them to transport kayaks using kayak holders.
We recently purchased 2 kayaks & Thule roof racks from our local outdoor store.
After waiting 2 weeks for our roof racks and J bars to come in we found that the Thule racks did not fit our 2017 Lincoln MKX and they didn't make any racks that would. The vehicle does not have roof racks and has a moon roof.
After a couple of days searching the internet we discovered etrailer.com. We found the Inno roof racks, but still was not sure they would work. We spoke to a repesenative and he assured us that the racks we chose would fit and the Thule J bars we did return would also work. As you can see by the photos 2 days later we were happy Kayakers.
Great Fit for my 2017 Jeep Patriot. Easy install and looks great!
I’ve had the system in place for over a year now and haul dual kayaks often! I love it! The only thing I wish I could change is the wind noise that’s comes with it. But I’m sure with any rook rack system you get that.
Purchased with the, "Inno Through Feet for Aero Crossbars," for our 2017 Sienna. Pretty simple to install, maybe 20minutes after reading instructions. Seems solid.
Worked fine after I had rails installed on my BMW X3. Said it would work without them but I tried and couldn’t get them to attach.
I bought these as part of a kit with 60" Aero bars and the appropriate kit for my 14 Flex. I spent probably an hour and a half double checking my measurements and getting them torqued down properly. I spaced the bars on top of the car just a little wider than proscribed because I was planning on carrying 4x8 plywood, and it looked better to my eye. One thing to watch for: The instructions for the car-specific kit (in my case INK263) show the foot spacing measurements for a square bar, and the measuring point for these feet and Aero bars is different. That measurement point is indicated in the instructions for the feet, not the kit. Same numbers, just different reference point. Otherwise, they look good and are rock solid.
This kit does not fit well. All measurements have been double and triple checked down to the millimeter. The lock on the covers interfere with the hooks. You have to apply so much pressure to get it to close that it makes the rack come loose. Not very satisfied
Product is great. Fits perfectly with some minor measurement adjustments. Can be assembled by one person, but helps to have two. Bought the complete roof kit and well as the Inno 80 basket for a Mazda CX3, took about two hours to assemble everything.
Installation was a little tricky but once the "feet" were attached to the roof and the bars properly spaced, everything wrapped up very well.
There is no noticeable wind noise with these installed.
Excellent product. However, read the directions carefully. While the pads look similar, they are different and go in different places in the installation. Here is a picture of what the installed product looks on my 2015 Acura TLX sedan.
Really nice!
I did a lot of searching before selecting this rack for my Durango RT (no factory roof rails). It is easy to reinstall once the initial process is followed, I marked my doorjambs with a sharpie and it is easy to set up. Great product!
Excellent system. Even better when you consider the price. Thule and Yakima may have the name but Inno has the better product.
Great racks. High quality parts. Fit perfectly. Went together easily.
These are made perfectly for your vehicle. They are very secure when combined with the other Inno products. No worries of the rack system coming off. Using them to transport kayaks using kayak holders.
