I recently bought a 2007 Saturn ion so I don’t beat my truck up. It has nothing for the roof for me to mount my Thule j racks on what system should I get?

Roof rack options for your 2007 Saturn Ion include a few rack styles from Inno, all shown on the linked page.
For use with a J-style kayak carrier I suggest the Aero bar rack made of parts # INXB130-2, # INXS250 and # INK214. This rack has 51-inch bars that will be quieter than most other bar shapes.
It is always a good idea to check the vehicle owner's manual to confirm the roof can safely handle the weight of what you want to load on it.
