Can 2018 Toyota Sienna Sunroof Be Opened with Roof Rack Installed

Question:

I am wondering if these will still allow the rear sunroof to be used on a 2018 Toyota Sienna? The factory rails are only about half an inch from the sunroofs, and depending on how low the feet attach to the rail, there may not be clearance.

We generally side with the manufacturers when it comes to opening the sunroof with a roof rack installed; do so at your own risk.

With the small amount of clearance you have on your 2018 Toyota Sienna I don't see you being able to safely open up that rear sunroof with the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MAL84AR, but I may have an alternative solution for you from Inno with these parts:

- 51" Inno Aero Crossbars # INXB130-2
- Inno Through Feet # INXS150

This roof rack uses straps to secure around the raised rails so the clearance needed is a minimum. There is a section of the foot that overhangs the sunroof so while you might not be able to open it completely, this will give you more clearance than the Malone will offer.
