I'm Ellen here at etrailer.Com, and today we're taking a look at the Derale 12" High-Output Extreme Skewed-Blade Electric Fan.Now, having an electric fan in your vehicle is going to help whenever you're using your vehicle to tow and maybe you're going through some warmer areas, or if you just want a high performance vehicle and you need a fan to boost the air going through your system. This is going to be a great option for us. It has that extreme skewed blade so it has that kind of triangle shape down there at the bottom going into that blade, so it gives it a lot of surface area to push that air through.This is designed to work as a push fan whenever it's mounted up, but if you get a custom shroud to go with this, it can be used as a puller as well. So, just kind of depends on your setup, and if you want to get that custom shroud, those are sold separately. You can find a lot of options here at etrailer.com, especially if you use our fit guide and put in your specific year, make, and model.Now, this does serve as a replacement for a certain Derale rad fans, or RAD fan models.

It's going to include a standard mounting kit, so we'll have our rods, the foam pads, the clips, and then these rubber isolators, so they'll go into the mounting holes around the outside of that housing to get this installed onto our radiator.Now, this is going to have a maximum cubic feet output of 2,000 feet per minute. It has a power draw of 24.8 amps, and we do have our seven blades, and we'll have a high-watt, high-torque motor, so it's going to really push a lot of air through our system. That air is going to help our engine to work more efficiently. It gives us better horsepower and better fuel economy as well as keeping everything cool, especially since we are putting it on our radiator, it's going to just keep everything cooled down.Looking at the back side, here's our motor.

We'll have our two wires to connect. As far as the dimensions, the outside edge size for this fan is about 13-1/8" wide. The fan blades, so the internal diameter, is 12", hence where it gets its name. And then this port of housing here is about 2-3/8" inches deep. Overall, it's about 3-1/2" deep.

So, from the very outside of that motor to this point here, it's about 3-1/2". Those mounting positions, center to center across our fan, it's about 13-1/8". And then the distance between them just side to side, center to center, is about 9-3/8, so from here to here.It does come with a one-year warranty from Derale.
