Randy: Hey, guys. Randy here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at a four-inch vent from Valterra. This is available in the white, which we've got here, and also a brown so you can more closely match it to your vehicle, has the four inch sleeve on the back. So it's really just going to slide our duct right over that and get it secured in place. You can see it has two holes here to do that.

It does come with provided hardware. In our situation here, we just reused our existing hardware.But it provides you with an area or a way to turn and direct the air. You can see here the slats are angled, so whatever direction we have those angled, it's going to promote air flow in that direction. These aren't dampened vents, so they're not going to allow us to block off the airflow to fine tune where it's going to go inside of our coach. That's typically what I would go with is a dampen style.

I like the ability of being able to shut off a particular vent in one area if I don't need heat or air there to just make it more efficient in the other areas.But outside of that, if dampening isn't something that you're really interested in, I think it's going to do a good job.Now as another option we have one from . This is from Valterra. There's also one available from JR Products that has a ring around it. You can see in this case we don't see our mounting hardware. Pull this off.

You can see where the . So this one's going to have our attachments here and here, very similar to that, but then we've got that cover that goes over it. And that's going to give us a nicer and cleaner look. So that's up to you if you don't care about seeing the screws there. Go with that style that you do.

You can go with this style. They're both going to do a great job at getting the air directed in the direction that you want.Now for the installation portion, it's pretty straightforward. We just need to slide the vent onto the back of the sleeve here. Get those two little tabs. Just want to make sure it clips in behind that. We'll bring it in. This is a two-hole design versus the four-hole design that we took out. So we'll use one of the original holes and probably wind up making our own down there on the bottom unless one lines up. It lines up fine for us.Well, at that point it's ready for use. Let me just turn it, direct air flow wherever we want it to go. So as you guys can see, nice, easy, straightforward installation. So whether you're replacing one that's damaged or you just want to refresh the look inside of your RV, I think this is all going to be something that's going to do the job really well for you.And if you're not too particular whether you can shut the air flow off or turn it back on and if you don't mind seeing the screws, I think it's going to do a good job.
