Need a safe way for your child to get in and out of their bed during those summer camping trips? This sturdy bunk bed ladder attaches to the side of their bed so they can quickly and carefully climb up when it's time to go to sleep. Because it's made of durable aluminum construction, it won't rust if the kids accidentally spill a drink, and the sleek black finish will complement the interior décor of your RV or camper.
The stepping areas are grooved to give your child's feet some traction while they're climbing the ladder. If your kids forget to take their shoes off, they also help trap mud and debris onto the ladder so that their sheets won't get quite as dirty. And unlike other ladders that have sharp metal steps, the steps on this ladder have rubber padding that will be comfortable and soft on your child's bare feet.
This ladder has a universal design because you're able to cut it to fit most RV bunk beds. Simply remove the rubberized feet and use a cutter or hacksaw (not included) to trim the ladder so it's a perfect fit. Keep in mind that the ladder should be tilted at an angle between 11 degrees and 12 degrees in order for it to provide the full weight capacity. Then re-install the rubber feet, which prevent the ladder from shifting around while your child climbs.
This ladder installs in 2 different ways. If you don't want to do any drilling, you can use the pre-installed hooks to position the ladder anywhere you want along the rail of your bunk bed.
On the other hand, if the pre-installed hooks are too large to fit your bunk rail or if you want a more permanent setup, you can use the included mounting brackets and hardware to bolt the ladder onto the side of the bunk bed. To mount the ladder, replace the larger, pre-installed hooks at the top with the smaller hooks. Then attach the brackets onto the bunk rail, making sure they're 11" apart, before mounting the ladder.
Regardless of which installation option you choose, you'll be able to remove the lightweight ladder in the morning and carry it to storage. It's compact enough that you can tuck it away into a smaller closet or into one of the bunk beds during the day to clear up more space to walk.

This ladder matches the metal and solved the discomfort of climbing on the metal rungs attached to the bunk bed. This ladder has flat rungs to which I added automobile seat belt pads for comfort when climbing into bed with your bare feet.
Excellent solution for the discomfort of stepping on narrow-metal-round rungs.
Perfection would be if the ladder were about 3 inches longer.
We just purchased our 2nd RV (Passport 2650bh) and the top bunk was a bit of a challenge for my boys, 5 & 4 coming in at about 54" high at the ledge of the top bed. This ladder is perfect but first let me talk about etrailer. They are awesome to work with. They offer Paypal, which I love, communication was great and shipping was speedy. I received emails throughout the order process with progress updates and was told my shipping speed had been upgraded at no additional cost to me. If the need arise, I will be doing business with them again. Now back to the ladder... The ladder is very sturdy and cut to size easily. On the handy scale of 1-10, (1 being - what's a tool? and 10 being I can build a house) I'm a couple notches above a high heel shoe is a hammer and a butter knife is a screw driver but I'm not afraid of a little power. So, once I received it (in three days BTW) I pulled out my cute Dremel and took off ~about 7 inches. Since the ladder has rubber feet, exactness and smoothness of the cut is not a major issue because the feet will hide all that but you don't want your cut to be too off or one leg will be longer than the other... Measure twice, cut once. It came with all parts but we are using the hooks that slip over the ledge not the permanent hooks. The black finish goes well with the decor and doesn't look like an eye sore at all. It actually looks like it came with the unit. I am far from 300#s, which is what it say it will support (I'm 138#s) so I figured if it could hold me, my kids would be fine. It does well under foot, no shifting during the climb or anything like that. My boys couldn't wait to give it a shot. After watching them try to climb to the top bunk before the ladder and now watching them after the ladder I noticed a decrease in my blood pressure elevation so I would like to add this ladder lowers blood pressure but please consult with your doctor before stopping any medications. Kid tested, mother approved... We love it and so will you so go ahead and add it to your shopping cart already!
We bought the bunk ladder because the vinyl trim covering on the bottom bunk was getting damaged with our daughter using it to get up to the top bunk of our travel trailer. I installed the ladder in about 30 minutes. I had to cut 10 inches off the legs to get the proper angle of 11 degrees or less. I have the ladder at 8 degrees and works fine for both my daughter and son. I used the included hardware to permantley install the brackets to the side of the top bunk bed frame. When it will not be needed, the ladder will be stored on top of one of the bunks.

A well built and nice looking product. Extremely robust and a great for inside my Westfalia camper. Now I can get to the upper bunk with no problems.
And it arrived on time with no fuss.
Perfect for use in Forest River FR3 motorhome. I used self stick felt tape to lade the top bracket and secured it with electric tape. I am 6'2" and 240# and I feel safe getting up into the cab over bunk with this ladder. The black matches well and it stores easily.

This ladder is strong and lightweight
The bunk ladder fits our needs well. It is very sturdy, but not too heavy. It is easy to store out of the way when it is not needed.

It has worked out well. It has been used a lot for the past 10 months since we have family members staying in our RV.
Product is well manufactured and looks very stylish in all black. I was impressed with the rubber treads on the steps - it is very heavy duty rubber. The box did not fair to well during shipment due to rough handling by the carrier, but the ladder was in perfect condition anyway. Thank you for an excellent product at a fair price.
Received this ladder today. I knew it would be too long but reviews said it could be cut shorter. I used a pipe cutter and in no time had it to the length I needed. It is working out great! My grandson can now easily and safely access the top bunk on our unusually modified bunk bed in his bedroom at our home. It hooks perfectly and safely into the side rails and he can now climb up safely. Thank you!
Ladder arrived from eTrailer very fast. Excellent quality product AND customer service!!! I followed the directions for the correct angle/distane from vertical; cut off about 3" on each leg and mounted the brackets as per directions. The fit was perfect. Now the Grandkids can get into the cabover bunk safely and without having to climb on the furniture. Great price!
Ladders ordered look great with smooth lines and match well with interior of camper. Easily stores away under mattress of bunks. Eliminated the use of a step ladder. You will need to stay within their 11 degree angle recommendation. Would recommend them to others.
This was what I was looking for. My kids love it. Now they can get to the top bunk easily. Ladder was too tall when it arrived but was easy to cut down to make the right height. The different mounting options helped out. Very nice ladder. Etrailer shipped the item quickly. I will definitely buy from Etrailer again.
This ladder is light weight and was easy to shorten (4 1/2") to fit the upper bunk in our Jayco 24BHM. Our grandson can now easily get to his upper bunk. When not in use it stores on the upper bunk. The order from etrailer was handled quickly and we received the ladder within a week of ordering.
Ladder is a quality unit with "foot friendly" steps. Finish is smooth and looks good. I did not want the hooks at the top so removed them and put a pair of crutch tips on the tops of the rails.
We purchased this ladder for our bunk bed in our new RV. We decided to purchase this ladder from etrailer instead of [online] because of the great reviews. This ladder cost more but the reviews from [online] mentioned, to many times for me, that the ladder was flimsy.
We are very pleased with the quality of the ladder. The ladder arrived quickly, it is not flimsy and comfortable to climb in bare feet. We will definitely check etrailer first for all our RV needs in the future.
This ladder is perfect for our camper. All other aluminum ones would have looked too gaudy in the camper, but the black makes the ladder not such an eye sore. I also like the fact that the rubber feet could be removed to cut the legs off to make it the length we needed it.
Received this product quickly and at a fair price. It was nice to be able to receive status info without logging in or having an account., another password to remember right?? The ladder is as described, Instructions are simple. I did have to trim the bottom of the ladder for proper angle. My method was to use a plumbing pipe cutter which worked perfectly for a quick and even cut, then lightly filed the sharps off the ends. I will be shopping this site again, and probably even open an account.
Ladder met need and matched description. Packaging form manufacture and not designed for the rigor of shipping , arriving damaged. This product should have been shipped in a better package.
just what I needed. I used stronger/longer screws during installation to ensure attachment to bed frame beneath the trim.
was hard for my grandsons to get in the top bunk but now they can scoot right up there good quality
Works great...had to cut a little. Love how the clips make for easy install and removal, the only place for us to put it is right where the slide out comes in...so we will need to remove often. Thank you...great price, super fast shipping.
I can't really give a review on this product yet. It arrived on time, opened the box and all is good. I need to wait till end of March when I get to unbury my camper to see how good it will work.
