Video Transcript for Review of JR Products RV Fresh Water - Winterization - 37262245

Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the 3-Way Diverter Valve by JR Products. This is going to sit in line with your current plumbing situation and give you more control over the flow of your fluids, which will be especially beneficial if you are hooking this up into an RV. You can use it to make sure that your antifreeze is going to your hot water tank to get that winterized. This is going to have three different nozzles here. We're going to have two of these male half-inch NPT fittings. That NPT fitting size is pretty common, so it should work for most setups.

Then, we're going to have one half-inch female NPT fitting. If you already have a male NPT threaded pipe, you can hook that in on there. Of course, we've got our diverter valve latch handle there. When we have it down in the horizontal position like that, it's going to allow our fluids to flow through horizontally. When we raise it into the vertical position, it's then going to divert the fluids up, so give us more control over where it is flowing.Because it is a brass construction, it is going to be resistant to rust and corrosion.

We won't have to worry about that. Should do a good job for us and make things a little bit easier when it comes to winterizing our camper. That's going to complete our look at the 3-Way Diverter Valve..

No problemo

This isn’t a diverter or is defective. In one position the flow is stopped everywhere and when the lever start the rotation the water starts to flow on one side a little bit and at the end of the rotation the flow is full in the other side.
Maybe I’m wrong however, for me ,,diverter” is to choose the way where the flow goes… this one doesn’t do that

I have contacted the manufacturer to confirm that this product lever opens both ends of the valves and there is no way to toggle between the two, in your case, the hose and the showerhead. This item is meant to cut off all fluid going through the valves for RV winterization, then once reopened, both valves open to let liquid through.

  • How to Connect 1/2 Inch Inner Diameter Hose to 3-Way RV Water Heater Bypass Valve
It looks like the Valterra RV Plumbing Fitting # RF846 fits the bill. This has a 1/2" MPT on one end and a 1/2" barb for 1/2" inner diameter hoses on the other end. The 3-Way RV Water Heater Bypass Valve # 37262245 has 1/2" MPT x 1/2" MPT x 1/2" FPT fittings so you should be able to fit the 1/2" MPT of the Valterra adapter to the 1/2" FPT of the JR Products valve. If you have a different type of setup please let me know how you're needing all of the pieces to fit together and I can see...

  • Replacement Bypass Valve For A Dometic Water Heater
I am sorry to hear that. Usually the vinegar solution is a completely safe cleaning method. To replace the valve I recommend the Valterra RV Water Heater Bypass Valve # P23401LF. I prefer this one over the others because it is the approved replacement from Dometic, and we have received much better feedback on these than we have with other brands.
