Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Flair-It PEX 3-Way Valve Fitting. This 3-way valve is gonna connect your pipes and hoses in your RV freshwater plumbing system and allow you to control the flow of water simply by twisting that valve there. It's very simple to operate, so whether you're needing to repair a leaky connection or if you're installing new lines, this is gonna do a great job for you. This will work with your PEX pipes, the old gray PB pipes, as well as the polyvinyl tubing. We do have three 1/2 inch barbed connections here that's going to fit your hoses and tubes with a 1/2 inch inner diameter.

So basically, because of the barbed connection and the compression end here, it's going to allow you to get this installed without having to use any tools and provide a nice secure fit for you. So the way this works, you'll slide that compression end over your hose or tube, and then you'll get that barbed end inserted into your tube. That might take some doing, might have to wiggle it back and forth and apply quite a bit of pressure there. Then once you have that inserted, you can just tighten it, that compression in back down. And, of course, you'll do that on all three sides to get all your tubes and hoses connected, but that is going to create a nice solid connection.

I actually tried this out myself a few days ago. We had a very similar fitting and some spare PEX pipe laying around, so thought I'd try it out for myself, so I could tell you, give you a real idea of how well it goes together, and I was really impressed. It took quite a bit of effort to get that barbed end into that PEX pipe. So if you are gonna be working in a confined space, under a cabinet or something like that, I'd recommend maybe trying to get the fitting on the pipe first when you have a little bit more room to apply leverage. But once you get it installed, it's a very solid connection.

I was able to get it all put together by hand, but then, when I wanted to take it back apart to get it off, I actually had to use a couple of vice grips. So it's a very solid connection for you, which, of course, is important when you're dealing with water, you don't wanna have leaks, drips, and that sort of thing. So this is gonna do a great job for you and allow you to very easily control that flow of water with that lever. This is constructed of a polyoxymethylene construction, so it is gonna be very durable and resistant to stress cracking, so it will hold up well, give you great performance for a long time to come. So if you are needing to have your three different valve or three different hoses or tubes hooked up together and you wanna be able to control that flow, this is gonna be a great option for you.

We do have many other options as well, so if you're looking through your project, figuring out what kind of connections you're gonna need to make, I would highly recommend taking a look at those other options, make sure that you have everything that you need for your project.
