Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products pop-up camper latch and catch. This is going to come in black and it's basically just going to keep your camper secured and safe whenever you're not using it or while you're in transit.Basically it's just this little kind of cam lever. This is black powder coated, so matches with just about anything out there.It does make the connection between this little nub and the indent on the inside a little bit hard to release. As you use it, I'm sure that'll get kind of worn down, so it probably won't be as difficult to open over time and also when you actually have it mounted onto something rather than it just sitting here.

It'll be easier as well.We'll get this piece kind of access the little claw. It's going to go into our catch and then that's going to cinch everything closed and bring it all altogether. Comes with the hardware to get this installed. We'll have two screws to put on our little catch and then four screws to put on our latch.We can make our adjustments by turning this piece here. It's going to bring it in or out as needed.

I'll give you some measurements to see the adjustment there. That's about as far as we can go. We start bottoming out against the back of that bracket. Cinch this down and from the inside edge of that hook to the back of the bracket, it's about five inches. If we take that back all the way out, turn our screw all the way until about there, make sure that we can still get our little tab through the slot so we can lock everything together.

Now from the inside edge of that hook to the back of the bracket, it's about five and a half inches. We'll have about a half inch of adjustment for our span.As far as the overall length with the handle to the back of the bracket, it's about five and a half inches, maybe five and a quarter depending on where that latch lays.The width is about two inches. Height is about one and a quarter inch. The handle just by itself is about four and three quarter inches long. Our locking tab is about a quarter inch in diameter, so any shackle bolt that has a diameter or any padlock that has a shackle bolt diameter of a quarter inch should work just fine for that.

The mounting bracket's about one in seven eights inches by about two inches, and the distance from your mounting hole center-to-center is about one and an eighth by one and a half inches. For our little tab or a little catch, it's about an inch and a quarter by about seven eighths of inch, and then about three eighths of an inch. And the distance between those mounting holes, center-to-center is just about three quarters of an inch.This is covered by a lifetime warranty from JR Products and it's also available in silver and white.
