Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at our Ignik Gas Growler X refillable propane tank and it's a 10 pounder. Folks, with refillable propane tank, you can provide fuel for your camp stove, portable fire pits, or even your heaters. It's been pre-purged by the manufacturer and it's ready to be filled at any propane service station. So this does hold, again, 10 pounds or 10 of those single-use one-pound propane bottles, the little green guys. With this, it's gonna last longer and eliminate waste.
Less little tanks you gotta grab a bunch of and transport. Having one single smaller unit is gonna be a lot easier for you to transport as well. As far as cost efficiency, this again, holds 10 of those little green guys, the one pounders. So in most places across the nation, if you fill this up at a refill station or a propane service station, it should be about the equivalent of two of those green bottles, give or take. Again, prices vary from location.
Now, as far as some quick dimensions on this guy, it is 10 inches in diameter and 18 1/2 inches tall from the top to the bottom. When it's empty, it weighs 16 1/2 pounds, and once full it weighs approximately 24 1/4 pounds. It does comply with all DOT specifications. It's been welded, it's been tested. You've got your standard connection up here on top.
It comes with the supplied cover, whenever it's not used, you can pop on there. It's been again, pre-purged and ready to go. If you look under here, let's see, right in here. That's the purge valve. It's got a little cover on it and everything right now.
So that's what that is. And then again, just your simple on/off by twisting the handle. Bottom, again, everything's been welded. You can see the seam there in the center. All welded, safely tested, DOT approved. Now folks, we do also offer this with a carrying case and a hose that is a different item number. That's item number GN38FR. That's GNF, I'm sorry, GN38FR. That comes with a case and a hose. Again, that's sold as a separate item. So again, we're looking at the Ignik Gas Growler X refillable 10-pound propane tank. I'm Steven. No problems. The case is a bit tight
Worth the price, doesn't freeze when you ice fish, holds plenty of fuel. I'd buy it again.
This tank is a birthday present for my son. I love it. I imagine he will show it off to his pals in the campground. Sort of a Cadillac propane tank!
