Today we're going to be taking a look at the Chevrolet bow-tie hitch cover for inch and a quarter hitches. Hitch covers are going to add a clean, finished look to your hitch, and they're going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. This one's going to feature the nice 3D logo that's going to be filled with a durable, black acrylic material. It's going to stand up well the the sun's harsh UV rays. It's going to do great job at resisting scratching and damage and exposure to the elements. That's a really nice design. You have a 3D logo, filled with durable black acrylic. We're looking at a chrome-plated ABS plastic that's going to outline the logo and the face-plate.
The unit's going to sit on a polished stainless steel base. It gives a really nice, mirror-like shine, and it's going to be highly resistant towards rusting and corrosion. The unit's going to feature a one-piece riveted construction. No assembly is required. To get it installed, you just slide this piece into the receiver tube of your hitch, push it in until you get your pinholes to line up with the pinholes in the hitch. You can see here on this unit it's got four to choose from, so you just choose whatever one works best for your application.
Then, you secure it using a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately, so if you're in need of one, you can find them here at etrailer.com. The pinholes on this hitch cover will accept a standard half inch diameter pin. The product is made in the USA. One wonders why all covers made for 1 1/4" with and adapter for 2" so there would be no need for 2 sizes. I attached it to my E Trailer hitch on my Corvette. Yes a tow hitch on a Corvette for bike rack.
This is the second time I have purchased a trailer hitch from this company. I only had to replace this product because I was rear ended a few weeks ago by another driver. The tow bar took all the damage and while it had to be replaced, it protected the back of my jeep from further impact.

I had a cheap rubber cover but it either blew off in the wash or got stolen. With a locking pin this one should stay put. Makes a nice little enhancement to my vehicle and shows pride in having served our country. Glad it arrived in time for display this "Veterans Day".
