Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at e-trailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the United States Marine Corps hitch cover. This is a fun way to show your support for our Marines by having this hitch cover in your hitch. The other advantage to having one of these guys is to kind of act as a placeholder for any kind of hitch-mounted accessories. It helps to keep out dirt and debris from getting gunked up inside that hitch. So it keeps it clear whenever you want to use another accessory, like ball Mount bike rack, or cargo carrier.So let's take a closer look at it and make sure that this is going to be the one that you want.
Has that nice faceplate here with our etched logo. This is made out of a textured matte black faceplate with the stainless steel underneath. And that's also going to be the same for the backing and the shank of the hitch cover as well. So stainless steel here.We do have three different spots we can mount this into our hitch so it gives you a little adjustment, as far as how far that sticks out. Fits into a two-inch by two-inch hitch.
And this goes back about three and a half inches into your hitch. And then our mounting holes are roughly two, or excuse me, one and five eighths inches, and then two and an eighth, and about two and three quarters as far as the distance from the back of the faceplate to the center of each one of those. The plate itself: front part here is about four and three quarter inches, or excuse me, four and a quarter inch tall or wide by four and a quarter inch tall. It is covered by a limited lifetime warranty and it is made in the USA. And that really about does it for our look at the USMC logo, the United States Marine Corps trailer logo, for a logo for our trailer hitch.

Fits 2" trailer hitch receivers.The pictures from the site does not do this piece justice . The craftsmanship of this hitch far exceeded our expectations. We also purchased the stainless steel lock to keep it secure. Together they are a work of art!
Outstanding hitch cover! The chrome portions of the EGA jump out from the Linux-like texture of the background. The ten rivets hold the cover plate firmly against the stainless steel shaft. Nice tooling all around and we’ll worth the price. Five stars plus from this Marine!
I was a little disappointed that for $XX it didn’t come with any sort of pin with which to secure it. The actual plate is nice though. It’s sturdy and feels nicely made.

Well, a year later and this hitch has taken a beating. Weve left it on and while the globe and anchor stayed in the same color, the screws have become rusty and we couldn’t clean it off. Any feedback on how to make it shiny again would be helpful. Besides that, it still looks badass.
