Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Pro Series Gooseneck. This Gooseneck coupler is a very strong durable design and it's really easy to use. On the bottom side, I just want to point out that it features a self centering lock plate so the large design is designed to help the unit engage. Even if you miss the ball by just an inch or so, that's a nice design of the unit. So the ball will hit here, it'll guide into the connection point and the self centering locking plate just insures that as long as you get that ball close, you're not going to have nay problem making your connection.when it comes to the construction we're looking at a stamped steel construction with a raw finish so it's ready to be primed. It's ready to be painted, that way you can have it match the rest of your trailer.
Also with this it's known to have a really nice tight ball fit, which is going to help reduce jarring and rattling.The locking handle is accessible from any position. So it really does a great job rotating around here, so you can always gain access to it. It's a nice large design, so it's an easy to grip locking handle, that has a nice high profile design. So makes it very simple to use even when you're wearing work glove you can easily get in here. And you can lift it up, and you can open up the unit as needed to connect to your ball.And then it just slides over, spring loaded so it automatically locks in place once it's connected.
Few measurements I need to go over through real quick. This is designed to work with or accept a two and five sixteenth inch ball. The retracted height is 26 and 10, 7 inch. The outer tube diameter, that's four and a half inches and the inner tube diameter and we're talking about the outer diameter.So the outer diameter of the outer tube, it's four and a half inches, the outer diameter of the inner tube is four inches and this particular coupler offers eight inches of adjustment. So that's the range of adjustment, eight inches and it's rated with a capacity of 25,000 pounds.
Set screws are included, so you got two of those and all the hardware needed to get those secured. That's going to do it for today's look at the Pro Series Gooseneck coupler, with a 25,000 pound capacity.

Very well made. No rust. All parts, few they were, were there. Welded nice. Ups was rough with the box but it had a tear where the base of the coupler sticks out. Might need a little wrapping with all the material they use to ship it.

I just received this goosneck hitch coupler in the mail. After opening the box it was everything that the description said. It seems to have good solid welds and the coupler seams so function smoothly. I will be installing it on my dump trailer that I'm building in the weeks to come. I do not see any reason thus far why this product should fail or give me problems. I compared it too a goosneck trailer that I purchased new and have used a lot over the years and it looks like a identical coupler. So far I would recommend this product if your building or repairing your goosneck trailer.
well made at a good price point. Going to use this component to fabricate a custom gooseneck hitch for an older 5th wheel camp trailer, no photos yet.
my goose neck trailer came from the factory with a fixed hitch. While this worked well for my older 2wd truck, not so much for the newer high ride 4wd trucks.
being a welder for well over 30 years the conversion of the new hitch was a snap.
Long story short, now the hitch is adjustable, the trailer levels out nicely, and pulls like it should.

fast delivery! had to wait for weather to warm above 60 f so I could prime and paint. minimum prep req'd as steel was clean and not rusty. coupler was a replacement on my existing cattle trailer. old coupler was damaged (weld at bottom). Back in business within a week. THANKS! FRANK
Good hitch to build a fifth wheel adapter with like another review on here. It's heavy and dimensions are accurate. Will work well for my project.
