Heavy-duty fifth-wheel trailer hitch has a dual jaw and color-coded lock indicator for superb safety and security. Self-aligning, pivoting head and included lube plate make hookup a snap. Legs mount to Nissan Titan XD OEM underbed platform.
Features:
Specs:
Note: This fifth-wheel trailer hitch is not compatible with rotating pin boxes, such as the Reese Sidewinder, Reese Revolution, and 5th Airborne Sidewinder.
Unlike slide-bar models, the rounded, 2-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.
Get peace of mind with Curt's color-coded lock indicator. Just look at the indicator - either the one on the handle or the one on the hitch itself - to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).
Curt's unique spherical axial bearing provides a durable pivot point that allows easy, 360-degree movement of the hitch head. This ball joint is designed for smooth, quiet operation with less clunking and chucking.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Q20 fifth wheel trailer hitch for Nissan Titan XD towing prep package. That's going to be part number C16530-16026. So here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. Now the legs are going to slide directly into our Titan's under bed platform for the prep package. We're just going to have these quarter turn levers. They're adjustable, so we can get the height right, so there's no slop, or play in them. And then our hitch is going to mount to the legs using these four bolts, two on each side.
And this is going to let us utilize that under bed kit, so we can easily hook up to our fifth wheel trailer, and safety, and securely get down the road. Now one thing that's going to set this fifth wheel apart from others, it's going to have a two piece jaw, so it's going to make a full 360 degree contact around the king pin, unlike a slide-bar style jaws, this is going to make that full contact, and reduce a lot of the rattling noise when we're going down the road.On the back of the handle, Curt made it pretty easy for us to just take a quick glance and see if we're hooked up properly. We're going to have a color coding to let us know if we're in the couple mode, or if it's uncoupled, or if we're ready to go. We're going to have this tethered safety pin, so we can pull the pin out, lift the latch up, and we're able to pull the jaws open, so we can get ready to couple to our trailer. And you can see on the indicator, it's yellow, letting us know that we're ready to couple. Here I got a plastic king pin to simulate our trailer.
So whenever we're backing up, it's going to hit the back of the jaws, which is going to apply pressure, and it's going to lock them in place. And you can see there's really not a whole lot of movement, either back and forth, or side to side, because those jaws are wrapping all the way around the king pin.The head is going to be fully reticulating, so you'll be able to side to side, as well as front to back. That way we're going to have a nice, comfortable ride going down the road. Since the head is going to pivot the way it does, it has this nice wide funnel, it's going to make it a lot easier hooking up, even on uneven ground. Now the handle is going to be lockable, we'll just put down that pin.
We can lock it using a padlock to make sure our trailer's going to be secure. Now the locks are going to be sold separately. But the handle itself, you can see, is going to be a very smooth operating short drill handle, to make it very easy to operate when we're outside of the bed. Now one thing I really like about this one, is we can accurately just remove this pin and clip from each side, we can remove the head assembly from the center section, making it a lot lighter and easier to take out of our truck bed. Now, our hitch is going to have four height adjustments. We're going to make them right along the inside here. The way we bolt it to the legs, we're going to have several different holes.
We're going to be able to adjust it from 13 all the way up to 17 inches, so we can match up to our trailer, to make sure we have adequate clearance. Now our hitch does have built in grease zerks, so it's going to make it real easy to maintain our hitch, make sure everything's moving properly. Now it's also going to come with a lube plate, which is going to make hooking up to our trailer a lot smoother, and easier. Now our hitch is going to have a 20,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. Along with a 5,000 pound vertical load limit. Now with those numbers in mind, you always want to double check your truck's owner's manual and never exceed the manufacturer's recommended towing weight. Our fifth wheel is designed to work with Nissan Titan XD towing prep package, because the legs are just going to drop in. However, keep in mind, that it is not designed to work with rotating pin boxes. So if you're looking for a way to tow your fifth wheel trailer with you Nissan Titan XD, our Curt hitch is going to be a great option, because the legs are going to drop right into your factory prep package, and hitch head is going to have plenty of weight, and have that nice cushion, so when we go down the road, we can be nice and comfortable. That'll finish up your look at the Curt Q20 fifth wheel trailer hitch for Nissan Titan XD towing prep package, part number C16530-16026.

Heavy-duty fifth-wheel trailer hitch has a dual jaw and color-coded lock indicator for superb safety and security. Self-aligning, pivoting head and included lube plate make hookup a snap. Legs mount to Nissan Titan XD OEM underbed platform. So far, so good. Easy to install in the Titan XD with gooseneck prep kit. I’ll let everyone know how it hooks up and pulls, but I expect no issues.
Received an E-mail 5 days ago saying it was still on back order and would be notified when they received them and were shipped. Received E-mail yesterday that I had received my order. Found the boxes on front porch. Some rips in the boxes, but no damage to the hitch. UPS may be unhappy since I wasn't home and he had to carry it up a flight of stairs. Hitch is much heavier than my B & W. Took about 5 minutes to assemble and install in Nissan Titan XD with pucks. Too much ice and snow to use yet. Removed it from truck in about a minute. Way faster than my B & W turnover. I'll update review after I tow with the hitch.
For my 2017 Nissan Titan XD it was a drop in fit less than an hour to install.
Unfortunately the M14 nuts were left out of the hardware bag that are used to bolt the hitch to the puck system legs. I had to rummage through my spare parts bin to find the correct nuts.
Reason for the rating has nothing to due with the product and all about the service and packaging by etrailer. What a disappointment from the first delivery. The items were not delivered to UPS in a manor that ensured they would be delivered without damage. Items were destroyed when delivered with missing pieces not allowing us to install completely. etrailer customer service sent out new items and the internal system failed to process, causing further delays to correct the issue. Replacement parts arrived in damaged packages, not at the fault of the shipping company, but because items were not prepared correctly. Do not purchase from etrailer, save time and headache and purchase from a local supplier. What a joke of a company.
Short version: Product is fine. Etrailer shipping is laughable at best.
First off, as far as the hitch goes, its a Curt product. Quality is great, it'll work just fine. At least the portion of the hitch that has arrived....
Dealing with Etrailer on the other hand has been a big disappointment. I specifically ordered this hitch from Etrailer because of the estimated delivery times. I needed the hitch prior to a weekend (for reference, the 20th) to move a trailer and the estimated delivery time was three days prior (the 17th) to that weekend.
AFTER the order was placed, the estimated delivery became the 19th, a friday.... okay, so my two day buffer was gone but it was still projecting to be here in time.
Friday rolls around and nothing delivers.
On the following Monday (the 22nd), one of two packages arrives in awful condition. Absolutely destroyed box, patched together with sections of cardboard and staples, and wrapped in tape, styrofoam all broken up... fortunatley its a beefy hitch and did not have anything other than cosmetic damage.
A 110lb hitch in a cardboard box. You think a company shipping a 100+lb hitch would take measures to protect their products a bit better.
I called etrailer and they said they would look into the missing portion of the shipment with UPS and get back to me. Should be quick right? Wrong.
I took the liberty of calling UPS directly to see if they could update me. Only 11 minutes on hold and they informed me they did not know where the package was and would start a claim. Okay... stuff happens. Figured I would call etrailer and take next steps.
I call etrailer back and they said they cant do anything until they hear back from UPS... I talked to UPS in 11 minutes so I'm not sure what they're waiting on. I asked if they would send me a separate set of legs (the missing package) so I could get this trailer moved, and they refused to do so until UPS responds to them (I guess etrailer cant make phone calls, email only).
I should have went with my gut and ordered elsewhere. Oh well. I know where to NOT take my business now. Package your products better and provide realistic estimated shipping times.
This is a great 5th Wheel hitch! Although is is heavy, it was easy to install into the Ram bed by only removing The goose neck ball and the 4 covers for this hitch. Very solid and safe hitch! However, I did remove the safety pin and am using a padlock so no one can simply jerk the release as a sense-less joke while we are away from the rig.
This product has worked perfect for me using with my 2012 Wildcat Sterling 5th wheel. Customer service is the best at etrailer.com. Just love doing business with them!
I bought a new trailer recently that weighs 16k and I just didn't feel secure using my Reese pro series 16k to Haul with. So I started looking at various hitches. I've had 3 other fifth wheel hitches in the past. All of them have been 15 and 16k models. What I never liked was the latching system. I've even had a trailer come out of the hitch due to a poor latching hook up. There wasn't an good way to lock the hitch. Some of it was my fault and some was a poor design. When I saw the Curt Q20 had a latch on the handle and also was color coded I was hooked. This hitch satisfied my want list. It arrived 4 days after I ordered it and like other comments I've read it was full of heavy duty staples. It was double packaged. There had to be over 50 staples. It was defiantly packaged securely. After dimantaling the packing I finally got to the hitch. There were a few scratches on the hitch from all the staples but a bit of black touch up paint took care of that. After all the hitch is going to be used and get scrached by me anyways. Four bolts and it was together. It fit perfictly it my existing rails. By the way it's heavier than my other hitches. I wound be apprehensive to pull my new trailer. If your looking for a great hitch at a great price you can't go wrong.
Just installed yesterday Aug. 14; received it On the 13th. Reasonable delivery time. I had some minor frustrations while installing but nothing that was too difficult. Anyone that is the DIY type should have no problem installing a hitch of this type. I am a healthy 71 and with head removed can handle the removal of unit without too much trouble. It will be removed quite often so we can load our ATV in the PU bed at our remote camping sites. Seems like a strong unit. Hope to head out with our trailer next week. And test it out. Ours is a 13K toyhauler so hitch should handle it well.
Unlike other reviews...I will say that my packages all arrived in perfect condition. (Boxes were all intact). Assembling the Q20 is a breeze and by all appearances this hitch certainly seems to be more than adequate for my needs. I haven't had a chance to actually use it yet...but from what I can tell, I certainly don't expect any issues. I like the way the hitch latches and unlatches, and that you can add a lock to prevent someone from opening the jaws while you are parked somewhere. I think the only thing I'll add is a lock in place of one of the pins...just to make it difficult for someone to remove and steal the hitch.
Saved myself about $150 buying this online from Etrailer instead of my local rv/camping shop. My hitch arrived on time. The boxes were tore up but the website warned me about that ahead of time. Packaging wasn't an issue as all items were inside and intact. Assembly was simple and I had plenty of help from all the instructional videos I found on YouTube. Great hitch and I highly recommend that you purchase your new hitch from Etrailer.
I have just used the hitch on some very short pulls, nothing long yet. However, I can tell it is much quitter and does not seem to chuck as much as my old hitch. Appears to be very well built. Heavier than the old 15K hitch I had before. The only down I can find right now is that there is not a good place to hook up the emergency stop brake cable. I was able to rig up a connector that works just fine.
Got here about four days early. Packaging was great. Haven’t used the hitch yet, but have used the Q24 for ten years. I really like Curt products and etrailer has the best prices I have found. Great service. Highly recommend.
This hitch is much easier than my Pullrite, and a lot less weight. I'm a newbie with 5th wheels and I really love this hitch.
Arrived in the time identified, and all materials included. Box was damaged during shipping but packaged well enough that no damage occurred. Installed and got me out a jam caused by a height issue with original hitch installed by dealer causing the trailer to ride nose high. Leveled out and still maintaining the proper clearance between the bed and trailer.
Is difficult to get the jaws to lock- sometimes have to manually push one jaw to get it to spring closed. Any idea why?
Because of personal medical issues, I had the hitch installed professionally. I pull a 38' fifth wheel behind a Duramax powered Chevy. The hitch has served it's purpose well and looking forward to using it for many more years!! I purchased the slider version, but have found that I would NOT have had to purchase a slider because of the design of the front of my fifth wheel, as seen in the pic's. I am able to do 90 degree turns without any problems (without moving the hitch rearward).
This 5th wheel hitch fits OEM hitch mount provisions perfectly on my 2017 Ram 3500. Connecting and disconnecting works well. This hitch is heavy for one person to manage, but a hoist set-up makes for easy installation and removal. Tows well with no play between trailer pin and truck. Great product.
Love the new hitch. Nice and tight, quiet, no more clunking when starting and stopping. Great price and fast shipping.
Heavy duty!... pretty easy setup. Not the best instructions, but anyone with half decent mechanical ability can figure it out. You have to take the head off to torque the slider rails.
I purchased the Curt Q20 5th wheel hitch to tow a Cedar Creek Champagne with a 2016 Ram 3500 DRW. This hitch is easy to install with and easy to operate. I put it together in about an hour with one other person. I have towed about 2400 miles with it over the past few months and haven’t had any problems or noticeable wear. Don’t forget to retorque your bolts when you are supposed to!
The Curt Q20 with R20 slider hitch arrived just as promised in 3 days after placing the order. The Q20 head box was totally destroyed. The manufacture packaging was not made to ship individually using small package carrier such as UPS. Upon inspection I discovered that the bolts and washers were missing. I contacted Bill at E-trailer and told him. He explained that the replacements would have to come from the manufacturer and would take several days. I told him that I already scheduled an install and really needed those bolts and washers. He was able to round some up for me and shipped them out next day and they arrived on Monday just as promised. I also spoke with Bill about not being able to remove the head unit for the hitch. It needed to be removed to be able to install it on the slider. It seemed to be stuck and I could not budge it. I assumed that it may have been damaged in shipping, especially after receiving it in a demolished box. He explained to me that since it was new its tolerances were tight and I might try taking a pry bar to it. Well that did not make me feel real good. He was totally correct. Just a little more effort with a pry bar moved it just enough for the bushing to squeak loose and the head came right out. I am disappointed in the jaws on this unit. They look like they were forged by a 3rd grader. Not smooth and somewhat pitted. They are not machined jaws for sure. Had it all installed using the new Reese rail brackets for the 2017 F250. Everything went smooth. An added plus is the quiet ride when not connect to trailer. Can’t even notice the hitch is back there. My other hitch rattled and clanked all the time and was so annoying.
I just hooked my 38ft 5th wheel for the first time. It was smoother and easier than any other hitch I have ever used. I bought the sider unit which is recommended by all for the short bed. However I cannot use the slider as the king pin box slides too close to the tall tail gate. The new 2017 F250 is taller and the bed is deeper so I needed a hitch that would go up to 19 ½ inches. I will update after a my first run with trailer later this month.
Everyone at E-trailer was outstanding. 5 Star. I will keep using them in the future.
Couldn't give it anymore stars after I took the hitch out of the box and it was all scratched up. Always good when you spend xxx on a hitch to receive it in that condition

No issues at all! Easy hook up, disconnect. It’s now installed in my new F250, but works great nonetheless.
