Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the JIF Marine, 15 inch long aluminum S style dock cleat. Now this is a nice durable cleat that'll let you attach your rope or dock line to your dock. It is a nice rust-proof aluminum construction, and you can see the cleat is an S-shaped design, which makes it easier for you to loop your lines around the horns of the cleat. And it is a bolt on installation.
Now the mounting hardware is not included, and what's also nice, if you look as the mounting holes right here on these cleats, they are recessed so that the bolts will stay clear of any attached lines.Now, total length on this from this end all the way to this end, it's going to be about approximately 14 inches long. The height from the bottom of the base to the tallest point is going to be about four inches tall. Now the distance between the mounting holes, if we go center to center is going to be right at seven and a half inches. And the size of the mounting hole is right at a half inch diameter. And the weight on this cleat is about one pound.
