Shane: Hey everyone. Shane here with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Cleat Seat Dock Cleats. These are going to be a very durable plastic construction. They're going to be designed to allow you to tie up your boat. You can put them on in many different ways.
You can see we have on the side here. You can put them up on top. You can see they're not really a raised surface so you don't have to worry about like some of the other cleans that are metal that stick up like this. You don't have to worry about on a dock like this on a small Lake, somebody tripping on it, stubbing their toes or something like that. They actually fold up inside.
So it maintains a nice clean look. And they're really out of the way.Now you can mount these in two different directions. You can mount them where the cleat folds out like this, or you can flip them around where the cleat folds up. Our customer chose to do like this. So it really makes it easy when you're coming up on a canoe or you have a boat.
You just grab a hold of it, slide it out, tie it off, and then your boat's ready to go for the next time. You know, it's going to be secured up against your dock.Another great thing with these. If you have kids, you have a small little bit of water behind your house like this. This is a floating dock. What you can do is you can take these cleats, take an anchor.
You can float it out to the middle of the water, drop that anchor down while it's tied on here. And now your dock sits still out in the middle of the water. Your kids can use it to jump off as a platform. They can jump off into the water, out in the middle of the water, rather than having it tied up here, close to the bank where they may get hurt.Cleat seats are designed by CIPA. They're going to be available in black or white. They're not going to come with the hardware, but there's a lot of different dock accessories you can find here at etrailer. We actually have our dock moved over here because we're going to be adding a ladder on. There's rubber trim here. This is so when you park your boat up here, it doesn't rub up against the wood. You can find all of those items here at etrailer.com. That's going to do it for a look at the CIPA Cleat Seat Dock Cleats.

I used 2” stainless steel screws with washers rather than trying to reach blind underneath my dock to put a washer and nut on a bolt. You can’t tell from the online catalog pictures but there are actually 6 holes for fasteners, 1at each corner and 2 are hidden under the folding cleat.

Cleats are great. Wish they were ¼ to ½” taller and slightly wider to hold thicker lines better. They are best for ? line. ½” line runs out of space quickly
